This guide will cover the various perks unlocked and available to a character by having companion followers in the game Fallout New Vegas. Each player is capable of having 2 followers at a time, one robot and one human , mutant or ghoul follower. Each follower in Fallout New Vegas has a perk that comes along with them, giving benefits to the player and/or follower as long as the companion is in the party. Some followers can have a second perk, or choice of one of two second perks by completing side quests.
Better Healing This perk gives you 20% more hit points from any and all healing sources. Beneficial in any mode, although particularly hardcore. Follower: Arcade Gannon Ranks: 1 Base ID: 0015c60b
Calm Heart Calm Heart benefits only Cass, but does so by giving her an additional 50 health points to keep her alive in battle. Follower: Cass; Must complete Side Quest: Heartache by the Number Ranks: 1 Base ID: 0016334b
Enhanced Sensors Enhanced Sensors makes all enemies show up on your compass at extreme distances, essentially as soon as they’re loaded in the game world, which is a large radius around you. In addition this helps detect and target in VATS enemies using Stealth Boys such as Nightkin. Combines with Boone’s spotter perk very nicely. Follower: ED-E Ranks: 1 Base ID: 0015c60e
Full Maintenance This perk is an upgraded version of Regular Maintenance giving a 75% reduced weapon and armor decay is long as Raul is your follower. Follower: Raul; Upgrade him through his freeform quest. Ranks: 1 Base ID: 0015d2bc
Hand of Vengeance This perk will give Cass a 15% damage bonus with all Guns, adding to her already great shooting abilities. Follower: Cass; Must complete Side Quest: Heartache by the Number Ranks: 1 Base ID: 00163349
Old Vaquero This perk will give Raul a 33% increased speed with all revolvers or lever action firearms. He will still keep his maintenance perk. Follower: Raul; Must complete Side Quest: Old School Ghoul Ranks: 1 Base ID: 0015d2be
Regular Maintenance As long as Raul is your follower this perk will grant all your weapons and armor a 50% reduced rate of decay from use. Follower: Raul Ranks: 1 Base ID: 0015c610
Scribe Assistant Not as useful as some of the other perks, but gives you the ability to craft workbench items through Veronica’s dialogue. Follower: Veronica Ranks: 1 Base ID: 0015c613
Search and Mark As long as Rex is your follower unequipped chems, weapons, any and all containers even hollow rocks and bodies and ammo in a short radius will be highlighted when the camera is zoomed in. Great for scavengers. Follower: Rex Ranks: 1 Base ID: 0015c611
Spotter Whenever you are in aiming mode with Boone as your follower, all hostile NPCs will be highlighted with a red aura, combining excellently with Enhanced Sensor to keep any enemies from ever surprising you again. Follower: Boone Ranks: 1 Base ID: 0015c60c
Stealth Girl Having Lilly as your follower will increase the duration of all used Stealth Boys by 200% while giving a 10% extra damage bonus to sneak critical hits. Follower: Lilly Ranks: 1 Base ID: 0015c60f
Whiskey Rose This perk will cause you to gain extra damage threshold while consuming whiskey, suffer no intelligence loss, and suffer no addictive side effects. Makes whiskey a powerful chem, great for the chem users. Follower: Cass Ranks: 1 Base ID: 0015c60d
