Elegant and Affordable Wedding Gowns Created by Pronovia’s of Barcelona

Fabric Flowers, Greek Goddess

Like most brides-to-be, as soon as I accepted my fiance’s proposal, I was off to the newsstand to pick up multiple copies of bridal related magazines. Oh, the possibilities were endless. How in the world was a future bride to choose the perfect gown?

Well, it didn’t take long at all to decide what style I wanted. Paging through a popular publication, I came across a four page ad for a company named Pronovia’s. Even though a single gown in particular didn’t jump out at me as “the one,” I knew instantly that this company would provide me with my dream dress.

Pronovia’s is a family owned Barcelona-based business that leads the bridal industry on an international level. Although it’s headquarters are in Spain, Pronovia’s has retailers in many countries including France, Germany and the United States. Every June, clients from all over the world gather in Spain to partake in a fashion show where new ideas bloom. Pronovia’s collections reveal dazzling designs that are romantic, yet sleek. They feature many off the shoulder and strapless form fitting dresses while using unique materials such as: lace, ruffles, fabric flowers, soft chiffon, layers of silk, crystal beading and even synthetic feathers. I discovered my dream dress at a Chicago-based bridal shop. It was only the second dress I tried on and I knew immediately that this was “the one.” It’s a light and airy, A-line, yet sleek style with many graceful layers that flow back to a simple, yet sophisticated train. The shoulder straps and waistline are embellished with silky, rosette, fabric flowers and tiny, wispy, white feathers. It has unique, faux, chiffon sleeves that drape gently from my shoulder wrapping softly around my wrists with even more delicate rosettes. The boutique owner deemed it “quietly sexy.” I felt more like a Greek goddess than a Barcelona-inspired bride. I opted to not even wear a veil because the dress itself was enough which is true about many of Pronovia’s designs. My dress was everything I hoped it would be and more. It was reasonably priced at just around $1,000.

You can find Pronovia’s retailers at www.pronovias.com. Prices range from $700.00 to over $3,000.00. They also provide shorter cocktail type dress as well as dressy pant suits. From the simple to the dramatic, Pronovia’s has something for every modern or traditional bride-to-be.
