Easy Homemade Mother’s Day Gifts

Hand Print

Mother’s all across the world love receiving homemade Mother’s day presents. Something your child created with their own two hands just for Mom. These presents are always better then anything you can buy from the store because you know your little put their heart and their sole into it. To other’s they may not look like much, but through a Mother’s eyes they are the world. This year instead of spending you money of something Mom doesn’t need or probably even want, use it for supplies to make her something she has always wanted.

Mother’s day Bracelet

This is a great gift that even a very small child could make.

Supplies:
Elastic string
colored beads
Alphabet beads

First decide how long your string will be. If your making a bracelet or a necklace. Cut your string so that it will fit on your mom and make sure you have a little left over so you can tie then ends together. You can start by spelling out Mom, Mother or Mommy depending on what you may call her with the alphabet beads. Place them beads in order on the elastic string so it spells what you want it to. Place color beads on both sides of the name. You can do patterns or anything your choose. If Mom has a favorite color then don’t forget to add them in there also. When you have enough beads on to your liking simply tie the ends together in a double knot. Cut off an excess string.

Mother’s day clock

Supplies:
A big plastic round clock (the cheap kind)
paper

Take the front plastic off the clock. Most of these will pop right off. Remove the clock face and there is a background that will come right out. Trace that paper on another piece of paper so you will know the correct size. Take your paper and decorate it with your markers and crayons. Add some stickers for a nice personal touch. If you know the hour you were born in then take your picture and cover that number on the clock. Place the picture back in the clock and replace the plastic cover. You know have a personalized clock that can not ever be bought in a store.

Hand print Coasters

There is something about a Child’s hand print that Mother’s love. Why not give her something you know she will love this Mother’s day.

Supplies:
Paper
Clear contact paper
gel pen
scissors

Have the children crate several hand prints on their papers. Cut them out. When cutting them out do not do each finger by itself. Cut them out in a circle fashion right above the tips of the fingers. Have the children decorate the hand prints how ever they want. Have them sign and date each one.

Cover both sides with the clear contact paper. Cut them out with a little left over on each of the sides. This is to make sure that its large enough to become a coaster. Pack them up in a nice box or just simply tie them off with a nice ribbon. They even sell ribbon that’s for Mother’s day, you could get some of that.
