A high school graduation party doesn’t have to be expensive to be fun. Decorations
Decorations can be very simple for your graduation party. Table cloths, napkins and plates in the school colors look great, you might want to also add balloons in the school colors and a big Congratulations Class of ______ banner. you could also blow up pictures of your child and their friends during their high school year, mount them on poster board or place in picture frames and display around the party area.
Food
When planning food for your teens Graduation Party think Barbecue. Get out the grill and cook up some hot dogs, hamburgers and a few Veggie burgers in case any of your teens guests are Vegans . Corn on the cob, pasta salad, potato salad, green salad, barbecue beans are all easy and inexpensive side dishes that can be prepared ahead of time giving you more time to enjoy the festivities.
Make sure and have plenty of condiments to go with the hot dogs and burgers as well as sliced onions lettuce and tomatoes.
For appetizers veggies and dip, tortilla chips and salsa and potato chips and dip are all teen favorites, you could also include a variety of fresh cut fruit such as watermelon, strawberries, cantaloupe and grapes.

Games and Activities
You may want to get your teen and their quests involved in some fun activities or games. A scavenger hunt is always fun or maybe a water balloon toss, or tug of war to keep everyone involved. Games with this age are not a must though. Many teens will be content to just relax and talk with their friends.

Teens love music so you’ll definitely want some playing in the background. Consult your teen as to what songs they’d like played. You might even get them involved by asking them to download the songs they’d like played from the Internet to an pod or CD. Prior to the party you may want to preview the song choices to make sure they don’t contain any music you or your guests consider offensive.
