E.L.F False Lashes Review

Cheap Makeup, Free Cosmetics, Good Cheap Mascara

Eyeslipsface.com or E.L.F for short, is a cosmetic line known for it’s super cheap makeup and makeup brushes. Now, when I say cheap I don’t mean poorly made, I mean affordable. E.L.F has a whole line of cosmetics that sell for one dollar each. They also have a mineral and Studio line, their nicer looking line, that sells for more than a dollar, around $3 to $8, but still very affordable considering the quality of the products. One E.L.F product in particular that I’ve wanted to try out were their false lashes because I’ve heard such great reviews about them from other customers. I ordered a few pairs, one in dramatic and one in natural, both in black and tried them out for myself.

I’d like to point out that because E.L.F promotes cruelty-free cosmetics their false lashes aren’t made from real hair. I typically buy false lashes that are made with 100 percent human hair so despite the raving reviews I was still skeptical about my E.L.F faux lashes. After taking them out for a test run a few times I’m absolutely in love. I can’t believe how natural and realistic they look for being synthetic.

Aside from looking pretty darn real the lashes don’t flake or fall apart. I’ve seen some really horribly made ones that do that. With proper care these lashes can definitely be reused like other false lashes. Each pair of lashes came with a small tube of glue too. I like how the dramatic lashes made my eyes really pop but they weren’t so overly dramatic that people would be staring at my lashes and thinking drag queen. I really liked the natural lashes too, they brought focus to my eyes, gave me fuller, darker lashes but kept it subtle enough that people would think that they were my real lashes. The best part was that each pair of lashes only costs me a dollar! My Ardell lashes costs around $4 a pair and don’t even get me started on the Mac ones, those run close to $20 a pair.

I love my E.L.F lashes and will most likely order more but I wished that there were more styles to choose from, and maybe one day there will be. I also didn’t like the glue very much. It was extremely cheap and didn’t work very well so I threw it out and use my Duo glue with them instead. The glue was a nice idea but they need to improve on the formula.

Overall, I’d say E.L.F false lashes are fantastic. I would recommend buying a few of the dramatic and natural lashes just to have in your makeup box if you’re the false lash wearing kind. They’re only a dollar a pair so stock up and save your money for the more flashier, and fun ones that Mac and NYX has to offer.
