Dr. Seuss Coloring

Dr. Seuss

Dr. Seuss’ birthday is March 2 and it is a great to celebrate is by expressing creativity with Dr. Seuss coloring. The wonderful author wrote many wonderful stories such as Dr. Seuss Oh the Places You’ll Go and has entertained children through the generations with his fun stories and exciting characters.

Dr. Seuss was born on March 2, 1904 and passed away on September 24, 1991, he was such a successful writer and cartoonist, his books are known and well loved all over the world. Many of his books have been made into animated shows and also movies.

Dr. Seuss’ trademark or what he is known for best is his use of rhyme, kids just love rhyming and the books are so predictable and fun that children just love reading them. I will never forget one of the years I taught second grade and that year my class absolutely adored the Dr. Seuss Cat in the Hat, the kids were constantly asking me to read it and we read it over and over again. Once I read it two or three times, they knew the pattern and were reading along with me, by the time the end of the year rolled around I did not even read the book, I held up the book, used my pointer finger and pointed to each word and the kids read the book to me. However, that following summer I needed a big long break from Dr. Seuss Cat in the Hat.

The classic story Dr. Seuss Green Eggs and Ham is also an all time favorite of mine; celebrating Dr. Seuss can be easily accomplished one of many ways by printing off Dr. Seuss coloring pages. Here you will find lots of free printable Dr. Seuss coloring.
