Do your children get revved up over Disney’s “Cars” movies? If so, you may want to ponder the thought of hosting a movie themed party for them in the near future. In my party planning experience, it is a great theme to work with. There are also many different items that could successfully be used as party favors. Here’s a short rundown on a few of them:
Sports Bottles
In my opinion, Cars Sports Bottles make excellent party favors because they eliminate the need to buy disposable drinkware. The ones that I am familiar with accommodate 19 ounces of fluid and come with a lid, which helps to reduce messy spills. They also feature a full-color graphic of the series’ beloved character, Lightning McQueen. The bottles tend to sell for less than $2 each through specialty stores like Party America.
I’d also suggest that you consider handing out themed school supplies to your pint-sized party guests. Most party supply stores sell “Cars 2” Markers, stampers, stickers, pencils and erasers for a reasonable fee. Of all the items mentioned, the 8-count markers set tends to be the most popular with the kids I know. The sets also tend to retail for less than $1 apiece, which is a plus when you’re working with a tight budget.
Speaking of budgets, if you have a substantial one, you may want to think about giving your guests a Cars Metal Mini Lunch Box. They are 5.5 inches wide, 4 inches tall and sport a full-color graphic of Lightning McQueen. Personally, I adore them because they remind me of the lunch boxes I used as a child. Of course they are also quite functional. Thus, you could use them in lieu of party favor bags too.
Would you rather invest in a party favor that can double as a place card? If so, I’d suggest purchasing a case of Cars Lanyards. Most of them are over 18 inches long and feature bright colors. They also do not have a break-away cord. Therefore, you’ll only want to hand them out to children that are old enough to wear them responsibly. To use the lanyards as place cards, just clip a piece of cardstock to each one and write a guest’s name on it. That’s all that there is to it.
Krazy Straws
Lastly, I’d suggest that you think about handing out Cars Krazy Straws. The straws are colorful and most kids seem to love them. They are often sold in packs of two for less than $1. Therefore, you could feasibly pay $5 and provide party favors for 10 kids. Because they are so affordably, I usually like to pair them with other goodie bag items like stickers, themed juice boxes and candies.
