Dirty South Custom Sound & Wheels in Charlotte & Fayetteville, North Carolina

Dirty South, Fayetteville Nc, Pimp My Ride, Wireless Headphones

Dirty South Custom Sound and Wheels is headquartered at 2639 Wilkinson Boulevard and also has two other locations at 4609 N. Tryon Street in Charlotte, North Carolina and another store on Skibo Road in Fayetteville, NC. The Wilkinson Boulevard location is known as the largest automobile custom shop in the Carolinas, with 10,000 square feet of showroom space and three floors of inventory.

Dirty South Custom Sound and Wheels offers everything for the car enthusiast in all of us. While channel surfing in the Carolinas, you may come across a 30 minute infomercial that is more reminiscent of a “Pimp My Ride” episode. Their premiere show displayed chrome wheels lining the walls of the retail store, ranging in sizes from 16″ to 30″, all in stock and ready to be installed on a customer’s vehicle. Throughout the show, viewers watch as the owner, known as “H” to friends and clients, transforms a Mercedes before their very eyes. Later in the infomercial it was disclosed to the viewers that the vehicle was owned by none other than Ken Lucas of the Carolina Panthers.

Catering to clients, from well known football players to the stay at home mom, is nothing new to Dirty South. They have been in the business over 10 years now, and it doesn’t look like they intend on slowing down. With the recently opened location in Fayetteville, NC, the Dirty South Customs fever seems to be spreading.

Dirty South stocks aftermarket wheels in almost every fitment imaginable. Luxury wheel lines such as Giovanna, D’vinci, GFG, MHT, Moz, TIS, Gianelle, Asanti, DUB and others line the racks. Chrome isn’t all you see here. They also have alloy, machine and hyper silver and black finishes, as well as wheels custom painted to match your vehicle. For the consumer on a budget, you can find relatively inexpensive wheels from brands such as Player, Ferretti, Cabo, Limited, Dip, Panther, and Platinum.

Once you select the size and style of wheel you would like for your car, the next step is tires. Dirty South also stocks a vast amount of tires in every brand and size you can think of. Their competitive pricing on wheel and tire packages even includes speed balancing, locks, and lugnuts. For an additional cost, you can also have your tires Road Force balanced, and add a road hazard warranty to your tire purchase as well.

Dirty South Customs doesn’t just stop at wheels. They offer a large selection of car audio, video and security products for every vehicle. Each location boasts an active “sound wall” where the sales staff can demonstrate everything from CD players and speakers to flip-down and in-dash televisions. The audio department is fully stocked with name brand products such as Pioneer, Almani, Rockford Fosgate, Sony, JVC, Kicker and many others. Dirty South Custom Sound and Wheels has something to fit every budget on hand and ready to be installed. Experienced technicians are always available to install all products. Dirty South doesn’t just claim to be the best, but they back it up by offering an “in-house” year warranty on all audio, video and security products, and a lifetime warranty on the installation labor.

I purchased a Pioneer AVH-P5900DVD for my vehicle and have been in heaven ever since. The unit is an in-dash TV/DVD/CD that was a lot cheaper than I had thought. Since then I have added two 12″ flip down TVs in the back of my 2006 Chrysler Pacifica with an additional DVD player. Now I have the convenience of listening to a CD up front while the children watch a movie in the back. I also added wireless headphones, so the children can hear the movie instead of my music.

The staff was so helpful and informative during the purchase and installation. I also had my front two windows tinted (at the legal limit in North Carolina of course), and received a lifetime warranty on the tint. I was also informed me that the tint film used (SunTek) was guaranteed not to fade, peel, or bubble as long as I owned the vehicle. If I have any problems, I was informed to just bring the vehicle back with my receipt. This was very reassuring, because quite often I see cars with bubbly windows or faded purple tint.

Dirty South has definitely stepped the game up for all other car shops in the North and South Carolina area by winning awards at the nationally re-known DUB Auto Show and Concert for Best Retail Booth in 2006 and 2007, as well Best Mercedes in 2007. I have been genuinely pleased with my experience and with the service I have received. Other shops in the area make a lot of promises, but I know Dirty South delivers. They are truly a one-stop-shop for all of your automobile needs.
