Dallas’ Best Nail Salon

Foot Reflexology

Recently opened on Belt Line in Addison Texas, Hawaiian Nail Bar is the best nail salon I have been to in the north Dallas area.

On a last minute whim I decided to finally try out the alluring neon green signed nail salon that had been taunting me for the past month whenever I would pass it. Turns out a nail salon can be Hawaiian. I walked in to an island decorated shop lined with movie posters, neon beer signs, flat screen televisions, and leis galore. I found even more therapeutic than the typical trickling water and softly played music most other salons have.

I treated myself to a Toe Tally Pampered pedicure and the Hand Shake Maintenance manicure designed to strengthen and grow nails and a 10 minute foot reflexology. The pedicure message chairs were top notch. They line the tub with a plastic liner to increase sanitation from one customer to the next. I was able to have my hands and legs done at the same time which is always a bonus in my opinion. They offer an array of scrubs and aromas for your hands and feet which are absolutely narcotic. The gentleman that did my pedicure was very skilled. He could tell my feet were very beat up and asked if I would like to add a callus removal service and paraffin wax; naturally I went for it. After an hour long leg and foot massage, my calves were feeling great. Even four days later, my feet are still so smooth my husband noticed and was impressed. The manicurist also did a fantastic job. By nature, I have brittle nails and dry skin so I wasn’t really expecting a miracle. My nails survived a weekend of house cleaning and a crawfish boil! The neck massage was very intricate. Instead of the usual quick 5 minute rub down, he actually worked on some knots in my shoulders and tension in my neck until they were either loose or gone.

I would have to say the only complaint I really had was that I was never offered a beverage. Hawaiian Nail Bar offers complimentary Margaritas, Pina Coladas, Wine, water and sodas. However, neither of the gentlemen attending to me or the manager offered me anything to drink during the 2 hours I was there. Although, once I got my mere $67 bill, I really could have cared less. I suppose it wouldn’t have hurt to simply ask for something.

Since my time is so limited, I’m very particular about where I spend my time and money. Hawaiian Nail Bar is unique, relaxing, and lower prices for what you get than most salons. Their pedicures range from $20 to $35 and manicures from $18 to $30. I know their solar nails run at $40 which I think is pretty typical. They also have full service menu from waxing to massages. If you feel like doing a girls day out, they have free karaoke and a band for more special occasions. They have locations in Addison, Irving and Dallas so next time you pamper yourself; do it right!
