Crocs’ Patricia Wedge Sandal

Crocs, Summer Wear

On a recent trip we had a three hour layover at the Seattle airport, and I had time to do some shopping – my favorite past time! I found a Crocs’ store, and having never seen so many pair of Croc sandals in one place before, I had a ball checking out the different styles and I was allowed to try them on to see how well they fit.

Many of the Croc sandals actually hurt my feet, especially the thong style, but the Crocs’ Patricia Wedge Sandal really caught my eye.

The Crocs’ Patricia Wedge Sandal comes in a wide variety of colors, many of which are two tone (with the inner sole being a contrasting color). I really liked the black, but feel that the brown/walnut is more appropriate for summer wear. I don’t like many of the bright colors, which I feel are not designed for the older generation.

When it comes to sandals, and any type of shoe for that matter, my number one priority is comfort. I will pay a lot of money for a very comfortable pair of shoes, and the Crocs’ Patricia Wedge Sandal fit the bill. They consist of a slide on sandal with a strap across the toe and another strap across the top of the foot, with a third angled strap that connects the two.

The heel is only 2 inches in height, so these are comfortable enough to wear for several hours at a time. These are made like other Crocs, with the patented croslite™ material. If you are not familiar with this, it is very light weight, and to me it seems like a cross between a foam and a rubber.

The inside of the sole has small bumps that tend to massage the feet while walking or standing. The soles do not leave black marks on floors, which is a big plus. They have the “Crocs” name embedded into the heel, so you will know if you are getting the real thing.

Crocs’ Patricia Wedge Sandal is very comfortable, the insole has a nice cushion, and the straps tend to give with you as you walk. My only complaint is that the straps cannot be made longer or shorter, and these sometimes feel too loose on my feet, yet I don’t feel like I can wear socks with them like I can with some of my other sandals.

Overall, these are a very comfortable sandal, and the lightweight nature makes them a great shoe to wear around the house. I have been using these instead of slippers. These retail for $39.99, which is a pretty good price for a quality name brand shoe. There were several styles that cost much more than these do. These are appropriate for wearing with shorts, jeans, slacks or even a casual dress.
