My sofa table is made of wrought iron and it has a slate top. It served as a unique laptop desk for my great room. I placed it a few feet from the wall in between a set of windows, but instead setting a chair on the outside where it would face the wall, I placed it against the wall. I did not want to have to stare at a wall. I gave myself a view of the television instead. The arrangement looked outstanding, and it gave me the ideal place to work on bills, articles and more.
Place a Sofa Table Beneath a Window to Hold Live Plants
Do you enjoy decorating with live plants? Ordinary plant stands are rarely adequate for holding potted plants of varying sizes, and using more than one can look like a literal hodgepodge. During one of many room arranging adventures, I decided that I wanted to create a space for my houseplants. I moved my sofa table to the window. I did not have enough room for the plants in my kitchen or living room, and I wanted to move them to the great room since it had a large south-facing window. It was the ideal location, and the sofa table worked beautifully to hold my array of beautiful plants.
