Country Love Songs to Melt Her Heart

Country Love Songs, Country Music Love Songs, Top Love Songs

I recognize that everyone has different tastes in music. But if you are in the dog house, and need a quick way to melt her heart, having a great list of top love songs is a wonderful place to start.

Some of these songs have taken the test of time, and still stand out as the best love songs ever produced. Some of these songs are relatively new. But regardless of when they were first written, when they were first produced, or who sang them first, they each hold a special place in my heart.

My most obvious inclusions for a top twenty list of country music love songs have to come from Eddy Arnold. If you have read my husband’s article on Eddy Arnold1, you already understand why these particular songs are included here. For those of you who haven’t, however, I will give you a brief background on each. Number one on my list of Eddy Arnold favorites has to be “Gonna Be Home With You”. This song holds a very special significance for both my husband and I. Almost accidentally, one day while we were dating, my husband found this song on the internet and played it for me. We already knew that we loved each other, and this song just struck the right chord in both of our hearts, causing tears of joy to roll. There was such a significance to this song that we asked that it be played as I walked down the aisle to marry Mark. Another Eddy Arnold song that was sung at our wedding and must be included in this list, is “Happy Everything. The song is about a man wanting to give his lady everything, to make her happy. So strong is the imagery that this song evokes, the woman who sang at our wedding produced a velvet box filled with elements out of the song for me to give to my husband at the conclusion of our wedding ceremony.

When it comes to pure country love songs, “Don’t Take the Girl” by Tim McGraw22 and “Forever and Ever, Amen” by Randy Travis3He Stopped Lovin’ Her Today”, by George Strait4, speaks of unrequited love as does Johnny Cash’s “I Still Miss Someone”5, but even songs of unrequitLovinve can remind a woman of just how much she means to you.

Country music has probably produced as many top love song duets as anything else. At the top of my list of duets would be “It’s Your Love” and “Let’s Make Love” by Faith Hill and Tim McGraw6, and “Golden Ring” sung by George Jones and Tammy Wynette7.

Male country singers are not the only ones to produce some great lovMcGraw6. “She’s in Love with the Boy” by Trisha YearwoodWynette7awberry Wine” by Deana Carter9, and “Crazy” by Patsy Cline10 are just a few of the top love songs produced by women.

PYearwood8he most recognized top country music love songs, have been produced not by an individual singer, but by a group of guys who shot onto the country music scene in the early ’80’s, Alabama. With songs like “When We Make Love”, “The Closer You Get”, “Love in the First Degree” and “How Do You Fall In Love”, Alabama11 will remain at the top of many country music fan’s top love songs for years to come.

Absolutely no list of best love songs could be complete without inclusions by Elvis Presley. Songs such as “Blue Eyes Cryin’ in the Rain”, “I Can’t Stop Loving You”, “She Wears My Ring”, “Always on my Mind” and “If I’m a Fool (For Loving You)” remind us that while Elvis12 was the King of Rock and Roll, his country side was just as wonderful.
