Coleman Deck Chair with Side Table

Side Table

This Coleman was recently purchased from the Sportsman’s Warehouse for $50.00, which I thought was a little steep at the time, but boy have we enjoyed this set up! We took it to a picnic today and everyone was raving about it and wanting to know where we purchased it.

Description

This chair is not like most camping chairs. It has a much wider seat, a nice padded back rest and seat, and it will support 300 pounds. The arms have black rubberized padding on them, and a material that matches the chair wraps around these and fastens with velcro. This way they can be removed and washed if need be. These arms raise slightly from back to front and are very comfortable.

The side table really makes this so handy for outdoor dining! It measures 11″ by 16.5″, but it’s not square, one of the corners is angled. The dimensions of the chair are 21″ wide by x 4.25″ deep and 30.7″ high.

It’s made of a tubular aluminum and a strong thick polyester fabric. Our seat is a gray color, and the table has a nice cup holder built in.

Thoughts

There is nothing not to love about this Coleman Deck Chair with Side Table! The table folds up and lays flat against the side of the chair, and then when you fold the chair up, it is only a few inches thick, and there is a built in carrying handle to pack it around with ease. The entire chair only weighs about 7 pounds, you wouldn’t think that something this lightweight could support so much weight, but it’s the design of the chair that gives it strength.

When the chair is all folded up, it looks more like a folded lawn chair than a camping chair, but I think of this as more of a camp chair because it looks so casual.

Unlike some camping chairs that come with bags that can be a pain to put the chair into, this one does not have a carrying bag. It doesn’t need it because of the built in handles.

A few of our camping chairs have the sling backs, and I find them very uncomfortable and hard on my back. The back on this chair does lean backward slightly, but it provides a lot of support and the padding makes it so much better than our other folding camping chairs.

The table has a shiny surface, reminding me of the old fashioned laminate that we had in our kitchen years ago. It’s smooth and very easy to clean, just wipe with a damp cloth and you’re good to go.

The “Coleman” name is clearly written on the back of the chair, and it doesn’t surprise me that Coleman came out with such a fantastic chair with built in table. It is well worth the $50, as this should last for years.

Several people sat in this chair today, (everyone loved it!), even a lady who was very over weight, and I didn’t worry about it breaking on her since the salesman said it would support 300 pounds. Everyone else was juggling their plates and drinks on their laps, but my husband and I shared the good sized table and enjoyed our picnic!
