Recipe Card Bridal Shower Favors
If you are serving some unique and delicious foods at the bridal shower, consider giving your guests recipe cards to take home with them. They will enjoy having the recipes for use in the future, and the cards are easy for you to make and can be as simple or complicated as you like.
To make this bridal shower favor, you will need durable recipe cards, such as plain or colored notecards, or a couple layers of cardstock glued together in an interesting way. You will also need a variety of crafty supplies, such as wedding-related scrapbooking embellishments, or just fun scissors and paper punches and stickers.
To get the recipe onto the card, you can either type it out and print it directly onto the cards, or onto a paper to glue onto the cards, or you can hand write it to give it a personal feel. Then, of course, add all the crafty personal touches that you can think of to make them fun and special. You can even put a photo of the completed dish on the recipe card! If you would like to make the cards more food-resistant, consider laminating them, whether professionally or with an at-home laminating kit or just simple clear packing tape. This will keep them nice and clean through all their years of use in the kitchen!
Molded Chcolate Bridal Shower Favors
If you can heat chocolate up without burning it, you will be able to easily make molded chocolate bridal shower favors. For this crafty favor, you will need to have chocolate molds and chocolate chips. You can purchase three-dimensional molds at craft stores or cooking specialty stores, or you can just use cookie cutters on top of a hard surface. Try to find something wedding-related, whether wedding bells or hearts or rings.
To make the molded chocolates, melt down your chocolate chips, possibly adding extra flavoring such as orange extract or almond extract to make it fancier. Once your chocolate is melted and smooth, carefully pour it into the molds (measuring cups with spouts work very well for this step). If you have an open surface, you can also consider putting something fancy on the chocolate, such as candied orange peel or coconut shavings before leaving them out to harden.
Mix CD Bridal Shower Favors
If you are putting a lot of effort into making a great themed playlist for the bridal shower, consider burning the songs onto a CD for the guests to take home with them. You can decorate the cover of the CD yourself with permanent markers, or use stickers that you can print onto from your computer. If you would rather not burn a music CD, consider taking a lot of photos at the bridal shower and giving a late party favor of a CD with all those photos and any other fun photos of the bride-to-be.
