Creator George Lucas recently sold his company, Lucasfilm, and all the rights associated to Star Wars to Disney. Now, Luke Skywalker (Mark Hamill), Han Solo (Harrison Ford), Princess Lea (Carrie Fisher) and Darth Vader (James Earl Jones) belongs to Mickey Mouse house and the Donald Duck buck. After starring in the “Star Wars” movies, Harrison Ford became many things, in many movies, even the president of the united states in the action packed, “Air Force One. Hamill may get a chance to play Skywalker again, as Disney has said they’ll be releasing new movies most likely based on the original films. The classic notion of a princess being fair and dainty is obviously an unheard one for the heroine Princess Leia, who fought alongside the men just as bravely. Fisher, who’s family pedigree includes Hollywood notables in mother Debbie Reynolds and father Eddie Fisher, turned to writing after creating Princess Leia. Fisher became known as a go to script doctor to rewrite and tweak screenplays. She’s also authored several books. She can basically write her own ticket when it comes to the written word, and her estimated fortune is literate $2.5 million dollars.
Billy Dee Williams In “Empire Strikes Back”, Han Solo looks up his old friend, Lando Calrissian. He’s now the head of Cloud City, a nice little flying hamlet that’s made a deal with the evil empire. Billy Dee Williams was well known before Lucas cast him as the suave politician, but the big movies gave him even more fame and fortune. With roles opposite Diana Ross in the popular, “Lady Sings The Blues” and “Mahogany”, Williams was an in demand leading man of the 1970’s. Williams also dabbles in art, and he’s a respected painter.
