Camel Turkish Royal: Cigarettes Fit for a King (Or a Sultan)

Marlboro

If you are looking for the finest in flavor for your cigarettes, it is hard to do better than Camels. In my experience they are by far the best tasting cigarettes out there. Even Camel Lights have a richer, fuller flavor than many full flavor cigarettes of other brands. And of the various flavors of Camel cigarettes Camel Turkish Royal is by far the best.

Camel Turkish Royal cigarettes offer up a rich, creamy, mellow flavor. A little harsher than some other mellow cigarettes (but still much smoother than an average full flavored cigarette), they have a strong, powerful flavor. Smoking a Camel Turkish Royal is in fact almost as good as smoking a cigar, no mean feat for a cigarette to accomplish.

The Camel Turkish Royal cigarettes offer up this flavor using up a combination of Turkish and domestic tobbacos and an excellent combination they have found. Just opening up a pack and smelling the rich, flavorful aroma is a delight. Few cigarettes smell good even just sitting in the box.

I have smoked my share of cheap, generic cigarettes in my time. Cigarettes that you could hardly say had a flavor at all. They just are what they are. Flavor is definitely important though, and there’s no beating Camel. Next to Camel cigarettes the best tasting out there would be Marlboro: in particular Marlboro No. 27, another rich, mellow cigarette. But the Marlboro No. 27 can’t hold a candle to the Camel Turkish Royal.

Another advantage of the Camel Turkish Royal is the price. Although a name brand it is generally considerably cheaper than many other name brands (Marlboro, for example, generally costs somewhere in the vicinity of 20 ¢ more a pack.

If you are searching for a rich flavored cigarette with an even smoother flavor than the Camel Turkish Royal, Camel Turkish Gold is an excellent choice. I personally consider Camel Turkish Gold to be the Camel Turkish Royal Light. Its flavor is neither as strong nor as deliciously aromatic, but it is a smoother and less harsh smoke.

The only Camel variety I don’t personally recommend is the Camel Turkish Jade. This is Camel’s mentholated cigarette. While I am sure that it has a fine enough taste for those who like mentholated cigarettes, I personally can’t stand them. The only reason I ever smoked one is because the store clerk once gave me the wrong box, and I didn’t realize my mistake until I lit one up. Turkish Royal it was not.

Packs of Camel cigarettes all sport the image of a camel superimposed upon an exotic Middle Eastern background featuring the pyramids, promising a taste of the Middle East. In this they deliver, especially with the Camel Turkish Royal. If you are looking to smoke a cigarette worthy of the great sultans of Turkish history, the Camel Turkish Royal is the cigarette for you.
