Cafe Bronzer Hot, Dark Tan Maximizer Plus Bronzer

I got extremely lucky when I came across Cafe Bronzer Hot, Dark Tan Maximizer Plus Bronzer…I got lucky because it was free.

It was about April when I walked into one of my local tanning salons. I wanted a wee bit of color before summer hit the scene. I wanted to get a head start on tanning, so that way when I actually went to the beach, I would be ahead of the game.

When my turn came to tan I walked into my booth and on the counter sat a fresh brand new bottle of Cafe Bronzer Hot, Dark Tan Maximizer Plus Bronzer. Instead of being an honest broad, I took the bronzer and used it as my own. I mean hell, you’re dumb enough to leave a bottle of $40.00 tanner in a tanning salon. That’s like leaving a 4 karat diamond out on the counter at a thrift store. Someone is bound to take it. I don’t consider what I did stealing…. I consider it, umm… something else.

Anyhow, I wiped my skin down with the lotion which had a cafe color to it. It smelled rather decent, however it was not a scent I actually liked, or would want to wear.

I hopped into the tanning bed, and got my 20 minutes of tanning on. The lotion began to activate once heat hit me. It was hot, tingly, uncomfortable, and I actually ended up jumping out of the bed early because of it.

I knew that this tanning lotion must of had those damn hot stimulations in it. Of course it did. I looked into the mirror, my face was red, my body was red and blotched up. This always happens to my skin when I use the skin stimulations lotions. I hated it!

I scurried out of the salon in hopes that no one got a good look at my puffy swollen red face.

It took about an hour for my skin to cool off and stop burning. I looked in the mirror and I could see a slight difference in color, whether or not it had to do with the actual tanning bed, or the bronzing lotion was beyond me.

A few months went by, and I packed up my beach bag. I threw Cafe Bronzer Hot, Dark Tan Maximizer Plus Bronzer into the tote and went on my way. I was going to give it another try. I figured that the hot tanning bed may have played a major part in me over heating the way I did that day, at the beach where the wind blows I thought that the sun would not get hot enough to cause the red blotching.

I applied some to my legs as a tester. It seemed to be okay, my legs were not on fire, I wasn’t blotching up, or any of that awful stuff. I then applied an extremely thin layer of the lotion to my face. I sort of patted it on really.

About a half hour went by, and my skin still felt fine. I looked down at my legs and could already see a nice tan working. I knew that this tan was in fact compliments of the lotions bronzer. I applied some more, and more, and more throughout the day.

After getting home I was nicely bronzed. I got myself a nice tan in just one session thanks to the Cafe Bronzer Hot, Dark Tan Maximizer Plus Bronzer. I thought I would get ugly lines from the included bronzer, but I can report that this was not the case; my tan was even with no lines or darker areas.

It is my opinion that this tanning lotion is meant for outdoor tanning and not indoor tanning. When used indoors my skin felt like it was on fire, at the beach my skin felt fine. I think the hot tanning beds give off too much heat and it caused the lotion to not react well with my skin type. I am not saying if you try it in an indoor tanning booth you will have the same results. It could just be my skin… I will say though, that you should test it on just your legs first. Avoid your face if you will be using it for the first time.

Packaging:

Cafe Bronzer Hot, Dark Tan Maximizer Plus Bronzer comes in a standard stand up brown squeeze tube. Written down the bottle will be the name of the lotion, with the word HOT written in orange and yellow.

Pricing and availability:

If you go into any tanning salon, odds are they will be selling this 7 ounce bottle anywhere from $40.00-$50.00. If you wish to avoid the skin stimulation, you can buy the same lotion without it. I most likely will buy this bottle in the future for indoor tanning.

You can also pick this very bottle of lotion up online, www.drugstore.com sells it for only $29.44 right now.

Recommendation:

A big yes. Those with sensitive skin should not use it on their faces or in indoor tanning beds. I got the best results using it on a mild sunny day. It seems the hotter it is the more activated it becomes on your skin, which will lead to an uncomfortable burning feeling.

For best results:

Make sure you apply the lotion evenly. Rub it in, rub it around, and try not to miss any areas.
