Bratz Fashion Pixiez – Lina: A Child’s Impressions

Bratz, Bratz Dolls, Yasmin

I am guilty of collecting Bratz dolls in my past. I fell in love with their large eyes, and awkward long legs and small torsos. However due to the recent realization that I have a hoarding problem, I stopped collecting the dolls, and just stuck with what I already own. Besides they all tend to look alike; only their styles, makeup and hair colors differ.

Just because my Bratz hoarding obsession has come to a halt does not mean though that I don’t get up close and personal interviews with these Bratz dolls.

My latest Bratz interview comes to you thanks to my niece (I’ll call her Jackie for safety purposes), who recently annoyed the crap out of her mother, until she purchased her a Line Bratz Doll, which is part of the Pixiez collection of Bratz.

Me:

So what do you like about Lina?

Jackie:

Her red hair, and her wings see. (She shows me the wings. They are able to clip on and off to the back of the Lina doll) The wings glow in da dark.

-She proceeds to hold Lina under a lamp for a few moments. She then turns off the light. Lina in fact does have glow in the dark wings. Pretty cool. Not only that the dolls clothing seems to glow in certain spots which reveal glowing stars or flowers.

Me:

Did she come with other clothes?

Jackie:

Uh, yeah. Some other clothes, I can’t find em’.

I could tell by the way she said yes, that she was lying. Turns out the Pixiez Lina doll only comes with the clothing already on her, which is a pair of long jeans with butterflies and sparkles on them, and a purple/pink skirt that lays over the jeans. The doll also has a pink and red tank top type shirt. Her shoes are bizarre compared to what I have seen when it comes to Bratz doll shoes. Lina’s shoes are pink, and have a pointy curl at the tips which remind me of girly Peter Pan type shoes. It’s to give the Lina doll a pixie look I suppose, and is a cute addition.

Jackie:

Lokkit dis! (She whips out a small wand that came with Lina.) The wand is magic fairy dust! (She then proceeds to sprinkle some of the fine powdered sparkles onto the dolls head, and on to the floor (Moms going to love that mess).

So Lina the Pixiez Bratz doll comes with a messy little wand for little girls to play with. I don’t know what the purpose is, but it’s cool, and she seems to like it. Wait till her mom gets a load of the sparkles on the floor though. Heheh!

Lina also comes with the well known star shaped comb for the dolls hair. Lina has bright reddish orange hair, purpleish colored eyes, and a small mole on her upper cheek.

The doll itself is really pretty, but looks like the Yasmin doll, so really Lina is nothing Bratz fans have not seen before. The Lina doll however comes with a longer body shape, which sort of sucks in my opinion because squeezing her into other Bratz fashions is close to impossible.

Overall:

Although she resembles Yasmin, Lina is a pretty neat fairy doll. I have yet to see a fantasy like Bratz doll, and Lina was something new and cute that I am sure tons of little girls would adore.

She is made well, her clothing is sewn well, and her makeup is painted on gorgeously.

Price and Availability:

I’m not sure how much she got the doll for, or where…but I am hoping Walmart, because they sell the very same doll for $16.94. You can pick her up there, or online at www.Walmart.com. I think the Lina doll is a bit over priced for what she comes with (which isn’t very much).

Recommendation:

Bratz Fashion Pixiez Lina is a neat doll to pick up for little girls who are fans of Bratz. The doll would make for a neat Christmas gift. My niece who is 5 adores the doll, and especially loves how she glows in the dark.

Age Recommendation:

3-100. The doll is also a neat buy for those who like/collect fairy themed figurines and products.
