For me April has been the month of good luck, and the month of Blow Dryers. A few weeks ago I mentioned that my brother totally destroyed my old Conair blow dryer. I moaned about it for like an hour, and decided that I’d just go online and buy another one. I knew I loved the dryer he broke, so I may as well buy it again, seeing how it was so dang reliable (before he broke it).
I knew damn well he wasn’t going to replace it. That’s just how he is, el poopie face! While waiting for that dryer to come in the mail, I was stuck using my moms ancient looking dryer.
Then my blow dryer came in the mail, and I was oh so happy again… that was until my brother came home this Saturday with a big box. A delivery that made me even happier.
He slumped the box down before me, and there lied the blow dryer of all blow dryers. Packed in a huge box, with some enormous head piece attachment that sat next to the drier itself. The Bed Head 1875-Watt Tourmaline Dryer with Active Ion Technology.
WOW!!!!
He seemed excited about it too, which is not normal…I guess he failed to notice the dryer that I had sent to the house just a day ago. On the box there was this small plastic button with the words ‘PUSH ME’ on it. He pushed the button, and I watched as it lit from green, and then faded to blue.
Well how cool, a LED light attached to the box! Then I got to reading the silver glowing box (I felt like when I was a kid, and would be given a new Cabbage Patch doll! The box more exciting than the contents), it turned out that this ultra cool looking Blow Dryer actually lit up! Holy cow! It lights up! I’m going to be the coolest blow drying queen in all of the land. Haha!!! Look at my dryer! Envy my dryer!
I read the box closely. It turned out that the dryer could be set to blow out positive, or negative ions. The blue light on would indicate that it would blow dry my hair ultra fast, while if the green light was set, the dryer would pump up the volume.
Oh sweet!!!!
Out Of The Box:
After spending a good 10 minutes examining the futuristic metallic glowing box, I began to remove the contents.
Inside was theBed Head 1875-Watt Tourmaline Dryer with Active Ion Technology. Next to it sat a giant circular attachment, that looked more like a giant shower head than it did a blow dryer attachment.
This piece is actually meant to add volume to the hair. In the past I had never ever been interested in any attachment pieces that blow dryers had come with, but the Bed Head 1875-Watt Tourmaline Dryer with Active Ion Technology, came with such a cool, and giant attachment, that I was actually hyped to try it out.
Lying next to the giant attachment lied a smaller direct shot attachment. This attachment is meant to give you more control of the direction of the air that comes through. I find that this piece is good for when you want a fast, straight look.
My Use:
I hurried to take a shower, and plugged my Bed Head 1875-Watt Tourmaline Dryer with Active Ion Technology into an outlet. I knew I wanted to start with the fast action drying feature. That meant I had to set the dryer to the blue light. A simple click of a switch, and wallah. Blue light on, alien dryer ready for blast off!
The dryer also allows you to choose which speed setting you want. I always choose the highest setting, for the fastest dry time.
In a record of about 5 minutes, my hair was about 90% dry. I didn’t want to dry it completely though, because I wanted to give the green light a try. See if it would add that extra oomph of volume as promised.
Before doing so though, I attached the large volume attachment, and then turned it on.
Results:
The green light, and volume attachment does in fact pump up the volume. Although my hair is already thick, after running a straight iron through it, the result were wonderful. I had straight shiny hair, with a nice bounce of volume.
All in all the Bed Head 1875-Watt Tourmaline Dryer with Active Ion Technology is the fastest action blow dryer I have ever used. I was shocked my brother actually bought it for me. He has this annoying habit where he doesn’t replace what he breaks. (I still have a hunch his girlfriend made him but it though, seeing how she heard me making a stink about it a week ago).
Overall:
The Bed Head 1875-Watt Tourmaline Dryer with Active Ion Technology is an awesome drier. Not only do you get a light show, but it dries hair a record speeds, while keeping it conditioned, and manageable. With an awesome light indicating ion technology, this dryer is as if it fell from the future.
