Birthday Cake Ideas, Birthday Cakes, Cake Ideas, Strawberry Cake

Little girls are so easy to please. Little girls love all things pink and they love things that are pretty as well. Making a birthday cake that suits the personality of little girls is really easy to do, especially if you’re a woman. Just think about all the things you loved when you were a little girl. What would have been your dream birthday cake? Would it have been covered in candy, had a princess theme, or would it have had a Barbie theme? If you still aren’t sure what type of birthday cake to prepare for your little girl, here are a few creative ideas.

Birthday Cake Ideas for Little Girls #1: Totally Pink Theme

This birthday cake is extremely easy to make. All you need is a white cake mix, two tubs of vanilla frosting, red food coloring, bubble gum extract, and pink candy. Prepare the mix as directed on the package and add a teaspoon of bubble gum extract. Use two round pans to bake the birthday cake in. Once the cake is cool, mix the vanilla frosting with just enough red food coloring to turn the frosting pink and then apply more frosting than you think is necessary. Trust me; little girls will think it’s just enough. Then decorate the birthday cake with the pink candy. If you want to, let your little girl pick out the type of candy she wants and then let her decorate the birthday cake.

Birthday Cake Ideas for Little Girls #2: Barbie Beach Theme

If your little girl loves Barbie, she will love this birthday cake theme. For this theme, you will need to bake a cake in a 9 x 13 inch pan. The flavor isn’t important in this theme. Just choose a flavor that your little girl loves. The rest of the ingredients you will need include a box of vanilla wafers, two tubs vanilla frosting, blue food coloring, gummy fish, gummy sharks, a Barbie sized beach chair, and a Barbie doll in a bikini. The first think you will need to do is crush the vanilla wafers in a food processor until they are fine crumbs. Next color one of the tubs of frosting with the blue food coloring. Apply the first tub of white frosting to one end of the birthday cake. On the other end, frost the birthday cake with the blue frosting. Next sprinkle on the crushed vanilla wafers. These will be the sand. Overlap the blue frosting with the crumbs so that it looks like the tide is coming in. Then add you gummy candy to the ocean and put the chair in the sand. I suggest adding Barbie to her chair once the birthday cake is placed in its finally spot or she may fall over.

Birthday Cake Ideas for Little Girls #3: Crazy Candy Theme

This is such an easy birthday cake to prepare. The first thing you need to do is come up with a simple picture. Then think of different types of candy that can be used to make the objects in your picture. For example, let’s say you want to do horseback riding trail. For this birthday cake, you would bake a chocolate cake and frost it with chocolate frosting. To create the trail, you could use brown M&Ms; or crushed Oreos. For the grass you could use green Skittles. For logs you could use Tootsie Rolls and for a stream you could use Blue Raspberry Pop Rocks complete with gummy fish and frogs. Then just add a My Little Pony toy and you’re done.

Birthday Cake Ideas for Little Girls #4: Fairy Tale Castle Theme

Another easy birthday cake idea that little girls will simply love is a fairy tale castle theme. This birthday cake is so easy to make. The first thing you need to do is make a thick square cake, the flavor doesn’t matter. Once the cake cools, frost the cake with vanilla frosting. To create a rock texture on the outside of the cake, apply pink (strawberry) Nerds candy all over the cake. Next place an ice cream cone filled with additional frosting that has been colored pink on each corner. These will serve as towers. If you want the castle to be truly mystical, place pink cotton candy around the bottom of the castle to make it appear as if it is floating on the clouds.
