It is hard to find a store that compares with Hobby Lobby when it comes to crafts and home decor items for the value conscious shopper. Hobby Lobby is cram-packed full of goodies to keep a beginner or a professional craft enthusiast busy for a long time! At first glance upon entering a Hobby Lobby store, the craft and decor selections almost seem overwhelming. The regular prices at Hobby Lobby are about average or a little below average, but the real value comes with their weekly sales. The items vary from week to week, but when their craft items are put on sale the savings are generous. Most often when a particular craft department has the items on sale, the savings are 40-50% off regular price. The great value is not the only reason I return to Hobby Lobby, but the quality of their craft and home decor products is excellent.
Hobby Lobby has a beautiful silk floral and greenery craft department. They have such a huge array of flowers by the single stem or by the bunch which are put on sale for 50% off on a regular basis. Unless you are extremely impatient, there is no reason to ever pay full price at Hobby Lobby. They also have all of the necessary craft components needed to put together a professional silk arrangement including a fabulous collection of containers and wreath forms. The faux greenery available at Hobby Lobby is among the best I’ve encountered anywhere.
The selection of value priced seasonal items at Hobby Lobby is immense. They sell such an enormous quantity of Christmas items, which they begin putting out in the summer. When they do this, the summer seasonal items are deeply discounted. This is the time to find unbelievable value on beautiful summer home decor for interior and exterior, such as planters, garden art, shepherd hooks and iron and metal decor, just to name a few. They also carry a huge selection of Autumn, Halloween and Thanksgiving decorations and crafts all at the same time as the Christmas trees, ornaments and crafts.
Hobby Lobby has beautiful display tables all over the store filled with the most amazing value priced selections of home accents in such a remarkable variety to suit just about any style of home. I don’t think it’s possible to see everything Hobby Lobby carries in one visit. They have beautiful ceramics, pottery, glassware, lamps, mirrors, wall art, candles and the list could go on and on!
If you are looking for custom framing, Hobby Lobby does this also. They also run 50% off the regular price frequently. Hobby Lobby carries a full array of artist supplies, scrapbooking supplies, fabrics, needlework and jewelry making supplies. They also carry a great supply of value priced children’s craft supplies to fit just about any need.
Hobby Lobby also carries some of the most beautiful and unique accent furniture pieces for the home. You’ll need to wait for a sale to get the best value on these items. They have accent tables, trunks, cabinets, bar stools and many painted furniture pieces. The selection is stunning and a few of the furniture items will be the first thing you’ll see upon entering the store, at least in my Nashville stores. They have a lobby packed with accent furniture pieces to grab your attention before entering the store.
If you do see something you must have immediately and the item isn’t on sale, just look for the 40% off the regular price coupon readily available. This coupon can be found in the section of your local newspaper wherever Hobby Lobby runs their sale advertisements. You can also visit the Hobby Lobby web site and print the coupon. Just go to www.hobbylobby.com and click on the “current specials” tab and it will take you to the weekly internet coupon for in-store use on one regular priced item.
They also have craft items available through their web site. This online catalog is called Crafts Etc. At the current time, Hobby Lobby has stores across the entire United States with a few exceptions. They do not have stores in about seven western states, including California. The way this amazing store is gaining in popularity and spreading across the country, it may be just a matter of time until they reach all the way to the west coast. All Hobby Lobby stores across the country are closed on Sunday.
