Best Summer Bass Fishing Websites

Bass Pro Shops, Fishing Tackle, Fishing Tackle Boxes

The best way to learn better tips and tactics for hot summer bass fishing is to jump online! Harness the power of the Internet to help you catch more fish during June, July and August, even on the hottest “dog days” of summer. Check out these awesome fishing websites for great information on local fishing, the latest in tackle technology, and the best in online fishing stores for great summer bass gear!

Tackle Tour
The writers at Tackle Tour offer fresh insight and timely reviews of the latest in bass fishing tackle, lures, gear, and much more. Based in central California, the guys behind Tackle Tour have created a wonderful website with loads of reviews on new items and have an excellent bass fishing forum covering just about every aspect of the sport. Custom “garage baits”, exotic lures from Japan, high-end specialty reels, and plenty more information await in the Tackle Tour forums, great for getting summer-time bass anglers updated on the latest techniques and tactics for catch smallmouth and largemouth bass.

Bass Pro Shops Online
Bass Pro Shops is one of the biggest names in bass fishing and excels at offering quality fishing gear, especially for hot summertime fishing. While I hate paying shipping prices, I will make an exception for Bass Pro Shops, especially when they have a great sale going on. Their overall selection of bass fishing lures, rods, reels, line and terminal tackle is exceptional and I have purchased more fishing gear from them than any other fishing website. Be sure to check out their actual retail stores, if you haven’t before and happen to live near one, as they are like a Disneyland for anglers, loaded with elaborate fishing displays and great outdoor items!

Your Local or Statewide Fishing Forum
Seriously, one of the best places for info on what is working and what is not for summer bass fishing is your local fishing forum. Most, if not all states with large population of anglers (basically every state!) have at least one or two fishing forums dedicated to that part of the country. A simple Google search for “Oklahoma fishing forum” or “Florida fishing forum” usually will turn up several good websites. Register on these forums, and get to know the members. Be polite but don’t be afraid to ask questions. After all, these websites are for the sharing of information, not just the posting of bragging rights over large fish, especially trophy largemouth bass. Fishing forums are my favorite way to find out information on new fishing spots in my vicinity, and to meet up with fellow fishing enthusiasts. Use discernment, obviously, but definitely look into finding your region’s fishing forum today!

Tackle Wharehouse
Tackle Wharehouse is the website for specialty bass fishing tackle. Few, if any, other bass fishing online stores offer the detailed selection of swimbaits, crankbaits, and exotic, hard-to-find soft plastics that Tackle Wharehouse showcases. If you live in California, Tackle Wharehouse is even a better deal, with their Gold State Overnight shipping option. Every time I have ordered from Tackle Wharehouse, the charge for Golden State Overnight has been cheaper than standard shipping, and I have received my orders in record time! The swimbait selection at this website is amazing, I do not know of any other fishing website with as varied a selection of high-quality swimbaits, in many different patterns. Also, Tackle Wharehouse is my go-to website for certain specialty soft plastics, especially super-soft hand pours and brand-new hot market fishing items.
