The peacock is often seen as the most beautiful bird in the world. With it’s gorgeous blue plumage and long exotic feathers, it’s no wonder that brides are turning to this bird for hair accessories. From simple combs to more elaborate headpieces, the peacock feather is turning into one of this season’s wedding trends. When searching the internet looking for these, it can quickly become overwhelming. Lucky for you, I did the dirty work and uncovered the place sources for these whimsical hair decorations.

1. Bridal Couture – Etsy

Bridal Couture makes custom designed bridal accessories that are to die for. All are hand made and are obviously done by someone who loves what they do. A lot of her designs include feathers, and a lot of those include peacock feathers. The prices depend on the size, and the elaborateness of the design. For instance, for her “Whymsical and simple” design, which consists of two bobby pins with a feather apiece and some rhinestones, the price is $13.50. For her “Lotus” design, which is a faux flower made out of peacock feathers and is quite large the price is $59.00. There is something for everyone’s price range. The best part about Bridal Couture is that she has a 100% feedback, making her someone that you know that you can trust.

2. Ellen Marie- EllenMarieDesign.com

Ellen Marie is truly a visionary when it comes to making jewelry and accessories. She is perhaps best known for in the wedding community for her hair accessories, particularly her feather ones. From headbands, to fascinators (primarily used for attaching birdcage veils to a bride’s hair), to pins, she makes it all, using plain white feathers to the more elaborate peacock feathers. One of my personal favorites is her “Belle” design. It’s a fascinator with several peacock feathers and a Art Nouveau stamping for that vintage feel. It goes for $42.00. “Fiona” is a headband that is made up of several peacock feathers and a green silk ranunculus for an extra bit of flair. The price for this is $34.00. There are so many more designs as well, so when looking for peacock accessories, she is a sure stop.

3. Headband Shoppe- 1000 Markets

This shop obviously make headbands. Lots of them. They have an entire section of their shop devoted to headbands made with peacock feathers. What the best part of this shop is, is that they use different shades of peacock feathers, not just the usual brilliant blue. These feathers are also olive green, bright green, and brown, which gives for more choices when picking your wedding colors. In addition to their headband selection they also offer a couple of peacock clips. The “Petite Clip Collection” offers a small clip with five small peacock feathers on it for only $15.00. The larger “Ellie” headband has eleven feathers arranged to look like a large plume and goes for $25.00. This shop is another great choice for affordable peacock bridal accessories.

4. Deanna DiBene- http://www.deannadibene.com

From small to large, Deanna DiBene has designed many pieces with the peacock fascinated bride in mind. One of my favorites is her small blue and black French peacock feather clip. It looks small and feminine with a splash of vintage. If you are looking for something more dramatic you should look at her large burlesque pieces that have been designed around a theme. These pieces are often large and flower with netting included – perfect for the dramatic bride. This site is most definitely worth looking at.

5. SweetGrassMill- Etsy

If you are looking for something unique and whimsical, this is the place. All of her designs are different and made-to-order. Of her pieces there are several that you just can’t miss. One is “Bleu Peacoque,” a simple clip. It’s made of the head of a single peacock feather, but what makes it unique is the addition of several of the small turquoise feathers that are often seen around the peacock’s head. This small and sweet clip is only $16.00. For something more dramatic, her “Gilded Diva” hair piece is large and bright. The piece is a peacock feather nestled in the middle of yellow feathers, really making it pop. These are only two of the amazing pieces that she has made, so please check out her shop.

6. Hairflowers.net

This site has one of my favorite peacock pieces. It’s a large clip that contains not only peacock feathers, but also pheasant feathers which make for a fantastic contrast. It would be the perfect final touch for a bride looking for a natural piece to go with a natural theme. It’s earth rich colors would go great with browns, greens, and blues alike. At only $26.99 it’s a steal. On the simpler side the site also has a headband with a single peacock plume that is brilliant in color. It’s only $18.99 and would fit in with a smaller budget. This site also has larger pieces and one should take a glance at what it has to offer.

7. Blume Bloom- Etsy

The one thing to describe Blum Bloom’s, Emily Wootton’s work is: elegant and simple. If you are looking for something peacock with a small twist, her work is for you. My absolute favorite of all the pieces that I found is her “Peacock and Hydrangea” hair fascinator. It’s a single hydrangea bloom on a bed of small peacock feathers. The simplicity of it is my favorite part of the entire thing, and even better is the price: $20.00. All of her other peacock pieces are a toss-up and they have to be seen to be believed!
