Lamborghini has been around since 1963 and has been making cars that rival other Italian models such as Ferrari that had been producing cars for 15 years already. Despite being owned by Volkswagen, Lamborghini still makes some of the fastest and most expensive cars in the world.

350 GT
The Lamborghini 350 GT was a car with a huge engine. Lamborghini’s first production car topped out at 152 miles per hour and could reach 60 MPH in just 6.8 seconds.
When you started the car you heard a tremendous rumble as 12 cylinders fired with precision to deliver fantastic acceleration. Only 120 of these cars were made until the 400 GT replaced them.
Countach
The Countach was also a marvel of modern engineering. It had a V-12 like most Lamborghini cars and also the doors that opened upward. Its low center of gravity made it hug the road even at top speeds and the spoiler that could be added gave it an air of a racing car.
What was most amazing about the Countach was the size. The 350 GT had a huge spot for the engine. The Countach was so compact the cockpit was right in front. If a car could come close to flying, this was it. The Countach is probably Lamborghini’s most popular make as it has been around since 1971.
Murcielago
Built since 2001, the Murcielago has been a staple of modern Lamborghini production. Over 4,000 of these cars have been produced and the carmaker keeps pushing the limits of speed with each one made.
Currently ranked one of the best luxury sports cars for 2010, the Murcielago incorporates everything that car enthusiasts love about the brand. The best thing about the Murcielago is that it goes from 0 to 60 in 3.8 seconds.
If you want to buy one now it will only put you out $350,000. The Murcielago gets 8 MPG in the city and 13 on the highway.
Diablo
The predecessor to the Murcielago, Lamborghini’s Diablo was the staple model of the 1990s. The Diablo had all of the Countach’s style with updates to the V-12 engine.
Not quite as fast as the Murcielago, Lamborghini never lost sight of what made the cars popular in the first place. Despite being a design that wasn’t much different from their other cars, the Diablo is one of the most sought after exotic sports cars for collectors.
Gallardo
The Gallardo is the most-produced Lamborghini to date with over 10,000 made since the run started in 2003. The Gallardo costs half as much as the Murcielago and still can make it to 62 MPH in just 3.7 seconds.
Lamborghini created an “E-gear” to make shifting easier on the steering wheel. If you wanted to, you could make the Gallardo shift in automatic mode instead.
