When “Medium” first aired, it was on the NBC network. It stayed on NBC for five seasons and then moved over to CBS where it has been for the previous season and current one. Medium” stars Patricia Arquette as Allison DuBois. Allison is actually a real person who helped various police departments solve crimes based on her medium abilities. The show focuses around Patricia’s character helping the Phoenix District Attorney’s office solve crimes. These are some of the best episodes of “Medium” in the first 6 seasons.
The One Behind The Wheel
This episode was the 11th one in season 3 of “Medium”. It originally aired on February 14th, 2007. The episode is about a woman who assumes Allison’s body. This woman “Sandra” is not dead, but is in a coma. Allison is put in an institution by her husband Joe (played by Jake Weber). This episode will leave you guessing until the very end and is a definite must see!
A Couple Of Choices
This episode was the 3rd one in the 1st season of “Medium”. It originally aired January 17th, 2005. This episode is when Allison gets introduced to Detective Scanlon (played by David Cubitt). Scanlon is very suspicious of Allison’s abilities but is later proved wrong when her tips help solve a case. This is a great intro to Detective Scanlon’s character, but he does not become a series regular until season 2.
Car Trouble
This episode was the 14th in the 4th season of “Medium”. It originally aired April 28th, 2008. This episode is one that you will definitely remember. When Allison’s old car gives out, her husband Joe buys her a fully loaded SUV type car. Soon after Allison starts driving it, things start getting a little strange. This car plays an important part of a crime that Allison must now solve.
Allison Rollen Got Married
This episode was the 16th episode in the 6th season of “Medium”. It originally aired on March 12th, 2010. This is the first season in which “Medium” was switched from NBC to CBS. This episode was a look into when Allison married Joe and the events that lead up to them almost not getting married. It is a great episode, but definitely should have been made in the earlier seasons. It does give some insight to why they have the relationship they do though.
