Best 99 Cent Only Store Deals

Cheap Products

Whether you are facing tough financial times or you just like to save money, you should look to shopping at the 99 Cents Only Stores to save a few bucks here and there. The 99 Cents Only Store retail chain has been around for decades and they don’t just sell “cheap” products just because you can get them for less than a dollar. They have quality products that you shouldn’t otherwise throw your money away on. Here’s my list based on personal experiences.

Cleaning Products. You can easily get cleaning products like rags, wipes and general detergent at a dollar store. If the detergent isn’t a brand that you might trust at first, try using it only on cleaning things like dirty rags or tough spots on the carport. Shopping at the 99 Cents Only Store is a great way to build up a side stash of cleaning products without spending a lot of cash.

Toys. Children under 8 years old will almost always find a toy at the 99 Cents Only Store. If you don’t believe me, just lead them to the toy section and watch them pick two or three within seconds. These toys can easily occupy a child’s mind for less than a buck. Sure, some of these toys won’t make it past three car rides, but that’s about the attention span of children for non-electronic toys. They can also make excellent stocking stuffers or additional presents for their friends’ birthdays.

Shades. I am completely guilty about losing my shades every few months. I found myself spending money on things I needed in sunny California but could never keep. But at the 99 Cents Only Store I found some pairs that were generally stylish, lasted awhile, and kept my wallet full. Again, these are great for kids as well. As with any other product, take an extra look to make sure all the parts are in working order and the lenses aren’t scratched by other shoppers.

Holiday Decorations. If you needed an extra bat or two for your Halloween decorations, or you just didn’t have enough Christmas napkins, the 99 Cents Only Store usually has stockpiles of these items. The 99 Cents Only Store is probably one of the best places to use for your holiday decorating needs. I’ve seen dozens of Easter baskets that could fuel an Easter Egg Hunt for a church. I’ve even seen some creative Halloween costumes that can keep you from buying multiple outfits for multiple parties.

Tools. I’ve bought miniature flash lights, extra pliers and measuring tapes at the 99 Cents Only Store and they’ve been with me for years. Of course, they aren’t necessarily Craftsmen quality, but the tools do in a pinch for tasks around the house. It can keep your loved ones from prying into your “good” tools for small jobs.

Cooking Utensils. I have two pairs of tongs I bought at the 99 Cents Only Store four years ago that are just as good today. I also have seen extra dishes and cups that can be used for birthday parties and gatherings where paper plates can’t hold your good food. There are also a myriad of storage containers at 99 Cents Only Stores that are great for giving away baked goods when you don’t expect the container to come back.

Car Stuff. I have extra wipes, bottled water, plastic cups, paper towels, miniature dust pans and hand sanitizer that I’ve picked up at the 99 Cents Only Store for my car. Instead of spending brand name money on brand name products that I might use once or twice, I managed to spend $10 on things I might need in a pinch.
