When you are thinking of a great place to visit that has access to a free beach in Lake Erie, PA a very good one to go to is Beach 6. Beach 6 is known for the wonderful sunsets that you will see when you are there. Plan to spend the evening on Beach 6 because you are sure to have some wonderful picture taking opportunities. It can get breezy on the beach so make sure that you bring along a sweater to keep warm when the sun is going down. You might want to bring along a pair of long pants, too. After the sun sets the beach is closed, as well as the rest of the park so keep that in mind. You will not be able to stay on the beach after dark so have your gear packed up when the sun is going down so that you can leave after the sunset and exit the park.

To give you some more information about Beach 6 you will find that it is equipped with a large beach house. There are changing areas and restrooms for the public to use. When you are planning to attend it you will also want to know that there is a concession stand at this beach so you will be able get snacks and something to drink when you are there. There are also some picnic tables if you prefer to have a meal when you are there so bring all of your picnic gear with you. Beach 6 has lifeguards so that you will feel safe when you are swimming. Another nice thing about Beach 6 is that there are sand volleyball courts off to the side parking area. If you like to play volleyball you are sure to enjoy that added plus about Beach 6. You will also find that there is ample parking when you are visiting this beach on the Lake Erie peninsula. Even on an extremely busy day you should be able to find parking at this beach because of the large parking lot.

Don’t forget to bring along your favorite beach gear. A kite is also something that you should bring along because it is a great beach for kite flying. At Beach 6 in Lake Erie you will also note that there are a bunch rocks out in the water. This rock formation is called a Jetty. The Jetty protects the sandy shores of Beach 6 and other beaches from beach erosion. Visitors are told to keep off of the Jetty areas for their own protection. Visitors are not to climb on them at any time.
