Basic Color Meanings of Auras

Color Meanings

There are many sources to learn about the meanings of aura colors both from books and websites. Take them all with a grain of salt (including this one), because you need to determine for yourself what the color means to you. We are all individuals who see the world from our own point of view; our perceptions are affected by our past experiences. Since no one has the same life experiences we perceive events slightly different. Then there is the fact that the color of your aura affects your perception of another’s aura color. Think about it, if you wear sunglasses with purple lenses your perception of the world would slightly shift to a purple oriented world. It’s the same principle at work.

Just knowing the color of the aura isn’t enough, there are variations in shades and then there are various degrees of brightness: pale to muddy that need clarifying. Muddy colors are an indication of a problem such as insensitivity, their awareness is blocked or health related issues. A person’s aura colors can change depending upon their mood, energy level and health. In general a bright aura could mean that a person is optimistic and/or happy; and a dull aura could mean that a person is pessimistic and/or depressed.

Here are a few basic color meanings to get you started. If the meaning doesn’t ring true for you, then please ignore it and create your own color chart.
