Barney the Dinosaur Themed Party Favors for Kids

Atv Riding, Barney, Coloring Books, Golden Isles

Are you planning a Barney the Dinosaur themed party for your son or daughter? If so, you may want to take a quick peek at my list of top Barney themed party favors for kids. Here it is:

Barney and Friends Lollipops

Did you know that there are several restaurant and confectionary supply shops that sell Barney themed candy molds? Well, it’s true. Most of the candy molds sell for less than $4 each and feature both Barney and his buddy, Baby Bop. With that said, you may want to make a few Barney and Baby Bop lollipops for your child’s party guests. Other than the Barney candy mold, you’ll also need a bag of lollipop sticks as well as bags of chocolate rounds. Purple and green chocolate rounds are available through most candy making supply shops for $5 a pound.

In addition to the Barney and Baby Bop pops, you may also want to purchase purple candies to go with the lollipops. Candies to consider are grape Tootsie Rolls, purple M&Ms;, grape taffy and jumbo grape gum balls. You could put all of the edible treats inside either a purple plastic bucket or a purple takeout container ($10 per dozen)

Barney Bubbles

Small, purple containers of bubbles would also make excellent Barney themed party favors. Many party supply shops sell purple bottles of bubbles for less than $7 a case. You may also want to consider investing in Barney stickers ($2 per pack). You could put the stickers onto the purple bubbles bottles as well as put a few in the kids’ loot bags.

Barney Coloring Books

Depending on the party guests’ ages, you may also want to use Barney coloring books as party favors. You may purchase ready-made Barney coloring books through department stores, toy shops and book stores for roughly $5 each. However, a cheaper alternative is to make your own Barney coloring books. It is easy enough to do. There are various websites online that offer free Barney coloring pages. You could print off a series of Barney coloring pages and then convert them into a coloring book.

In order to make the Barney coloring book, you’ll need two, identical sheets of purple card stock ($21 per 50 sheets), a hole punch, the coloring sheets and purple yarn ($2). Simply stack the coloring sheets between the two pieces of card stock. Then use your hole punch to create three holes down one side of the stack. Afterwards, tie the sheets together by stringing purple yarn through the holes that you’ve made with the hole punch. Once you’re done, tie the yarn in a bow. That’s all there is to it.
