ATT’s HTC Fuze Phone

After a great success of their Tilt phone ATT got inspired to come up with their ‘next generation’ smart phone, the Fuze.

ATT Fuze is a Windows Mobile 6.1 smartphone with both a touch screen and a full QWERTY keypad. It comes with ‘TouchFLO’ 3D interface that allows you to scroll through your contact list using your fingers rather than the stylet. Like Tilt Fuze also has a built-in GPS receiver which works with both AT&T; Navigator as well as most of the PDA map softwares such as Tom Tom. Other features of Fuze include AT&T; Mobile Music, Video Share service, Push-to-Talk communication, Wi-Fi networking (802.11b/g), Bluetooth stereo music, 3.2-megapixel camera, MicroSD expansion up to 32 GB. The coolest feature of the camera is the built-in flash which hardly any other cell phone has to offer.

For beginners Fuze might pose a great challenge, but once you become used to it you will find yourself to be the proud owner of a wonderful ‘All-in-One’ electronic tool

Step 1

Use it as a cell phone. Since there are no physical keys; you must use the touch screen to dial the numbers. Addition of TouchFlo interface has made Fuze more user friendly and easy to operate than Tilt phone. You may also use the voice command feature to make phone calls. Voice command allows you to speak the persons name in to the microphone after pressing the voice command button. The phone then dials the number of that person that you had assigned to his name.

Step 2

Use it as a pocket PC. Once the initial WiFi setup is completed the Fuze phone automatically connects to the wireless network. Surf the Internet, check email, or find the nearest point of interest. By using WiFi to go online you actually save a lot of money since you are avoiding the use of your GSM minutes.

Step 3

Use it as your digital camera. Fuze phone comes with a 3 mega pixil built-in camera with a built in flash. It takes sharp picture by using auto focus feature.

Step 4

Use it as a PDA. Insert external memory (micro SD) and you are good to go. I suggest you buy at least a 6GB card. To install programs either download CAB software files directly from the Internet through WiFi connection, or use conventional PC-PDA synchronization methods to load your PDA.

Step 5

Use it as a GPS devise

Step 6

Use it as Media Player. Download your favorite audio or music videos and Synchronize your PC just like your Media Player or an iPod.

Step 7

Use it as a wireless Modem. Fuze has can function as a wireless modem and allow you to connect your PC or laptop to the wireless network or internet. Just deactivate the activesync, then go to ‘wireless settings’ and enable ‘wireless modem’. Select the interface (USB or Blue tooth)

Step 6

Use it as Media Player. You may download your favorite songs both video and audio. Synchronize it with your PC just like your Media Player or an iPod.
