Loans are available to members for various expenditures. Auto loans are offered by Arrowhead Credit Union with terms up to 84 months. Mortgage loans, home equity loans, no equity home equity loans, personal signature loans and personal line-of credit are also available. You can apply online or at your local branch.

The website offers access to financial calculators to help you when making decisions involving your money and where to spend it, save it, or invest it.

Mortgage calculators help you determine how much your monthly payments would be, accounting for fixed rate loans and interest only adjustable rate loans. You can see how much money you save with a fifteen year mortgage. Will you save money if you refinance now? How quick can you payoff your mortgage by making additional payments. They also offer a calculator for those considering consolidating their debt with a cash out refinance.

Comparison calculators look at fixed versus adjustable rates, IRA comparisons, lease versus loan, mortgage down payments and renting versus buying.

Tax planning calculators address income tax savings and look at taxable versus tax deferred accounts.

Savings calculators show how to save for certain events. The college savings calculator is one of my favorite, letting you figure how much you would have to save monthly with the years you have until your children go to college. Retirement planner and retirement savings are good ones too.

The Arrowhead Foundation even offers a scholarship opportunity for graduating high school seniors each year.

I can’t seem to find any disadvantages to becoming a member of Arrowhead Credit Union. Their site is very user friendly, they have multiple tools to aid the consumer in making financial decisions and then following through with them and the range of services is impressive. You can almost handle all your banking business online. They are definitely worth checking out.
