Are you planning an airplane themed party for your son or daughter this year? If so, you may want to take a glance at my list of airplane themed party favor ideas for children. Here it is:
Lite Up Airplane Fan Pops
Most children love candy, especially if it comes with a toy attached. With that said, why not consider handing out Lite Up Airplane Fan Pops to your child’s party guests? The pops come with airplane clad tops and airplane propellers that double as personal fans. Of course it also lights up with the push of a button. The only downside is that the pops can be a bit expensive. A dozen Lite Up Airplane Fan Pops from a retailer like Candy will tend to cost you $60.
Airplane Chocolates
Chocolate airplanes would also make awesome party favors for kids. In order to make a batch of chocolate airplanes, you’ll need to purchase an airplane candy mold and a bag of candy rounds. Many confectionary shops sell airplane candy molds for less than $3 apiece, including the Custom Chocolate Shop. A 5 pound bag of candy rounds will tend to cost you less than $6 each.
Airplane Cookies
If chocolate airplanes and airplane lollipops don’t send your spirit soaring, you may want to consider handing out airplane cookies. There are several kitchen and specialty shops that sell metal airplane cookie cutters that may be used to make cookies as well as hors d’ oeuvres. One company that sells airplane cookie cutters is My Pilot Store. You can generally purchase airplane cookie cutters through the store’s website for less than $4 each.
Wooden Airplanes
In my experience, chunky wooden airplanes make excellent party favors for kids as well. What I like about the wooden airplanes is that they are often unfinished and more durable than foam airplanes. If you purchase wooden airplanes that are unfinished, you can also make decorating them part of the party’s activity schedule. Unfinished wooden airplanes are often available for purchase through specialty shops, craft stores and party supply shops. Oriental Trading tends to sell a dozen wooden, unfinished airplanes for less than $15.
Airplane School Supplies
Last but not least, you may want to consider giving your party guests airplane themed school supplies. Some of my favorite airplane themed school supplies are airplane shaped pencil sharpeners, airplane shaped paper clips, airplane themed pencils and airplane book reader rings. In most instances, you can purchase airplane themed school supplies through party supply shops and specialty shops like the Future Flyers Club for less than $5 each.
