This is one of my favorite oil blends by Aura Cacia. It is meant to be used to scent a room using an aromatherapy diffuser. This blend is very grounding, calming and energizing. The scent is slightly earthy and yet minty and uplifting. I like to use it when I am stressed out. It is very relaxing and kind of gives me my second wind as well when I am tired and facing mental exhaustion.
The ingredients in this blend are;
Patchouli- this essential oil has an earthy musky scent to it. It is used as an antidepressant, aphrodisiac, nervine, sedative and to treat depression
Sage- this essential oil is calming and centering as well as rejuvenating. It is used to treat hypertensive disorders and help digestion.
Tea Tree- stimulating and energizing. This essential oil is also antimicrobial in nature.
Peppermint- one of the best all around essential oils as it is extremely multi functional. Peppermint essential oil is used as an anti depressant, a sedative, nervine, and for general uplifting and energizing.
This oil blend is used for combating frigidity, nervous exhaustion, stress, headaches and for grounding.
Aura Cacia is my favorite company to buy essential oils from. They sell quality oils and you can usually find them in most major cities. I have never had a bad experience purchasing this brand in almost 15 years of using them so I definitely recommend this company for your essential oil needs. Be sure to check out your local health food store for Aura Cacia essential oils. Otherwise some drugstores and co-op’s also carry Aura Cacia. You can also purchase essential oils on line.
Also the price is very reasonable. This oil blend was $7 for a .05 oz.bottle. The oil will stay stable for about 1-2 years depending on how you store it. It is best to store essential oils out of direct sunlight and in a dark relatively cool dry place (not the refrigerator!)
This essential oil blend should not be used by pregnant or nursing Mother’s under any circumstances as sage oil is particularly harmful when pregnant or breastfeeding. I would also recommend keeping this essential oil blend out of reach of children and pets. You never know what they will try to consume and this oil blend should never be ingested! Though it s safe to use around kids and pets. It also should not be used topically. An aromatherapy burner, candle ring or diffuser is best. Though you could also make a room spray by combining distilled water in a bottle then adding 30 drops of this essential oil blend. It’s a wonderful pick me up for the home or office. IT can also be used nicely in homemade cleaning products or room sachets.
Aromatherapy and essential oils work through the olfactory system which sends signals to your brain and stimulates healing. I love this remedy and would suggest it to anyone looking for a good relaxing but energizing blend. It is not at all overbearing or heady and is extremely light and pleasant scenting. It will also make you feel emotionally energized, calmed and rejuvenated. This blend would make a great gift with a diffuser for that stressed out person in your life!
