A Mother’s Day Poem from Her Daughter

Happy Mother's Day, Mother39s Day Poem

I never appreciated you, Mom
until I became a mother too.
The tears you shed,
the sleepless nights,
the pride you felt,
the loving care
were not in vain.

************
The first moment I saw my son
and took in that newborn scent,
my heart was no longer my own.
I know this is how you felt
from the first time you saw me,
and now everything about you
is clearer to me.

************

Forgive me for not truly appreciating you,
and know that I consider you
the most beautiful woman I know…
for you loved me
at my most unlovable moments,
believing in me when nobody else would.
Because of you,
I am a good mother myself.
Because of the love you gave me,
I am able to love.
Happy Mother’s Day, Mom.
