Bonnaroo is a large 4 day music and arts festival from June 10-13 in Manchester, Tennessee. For those regulars who attend Bonnaroo every year they describe it as nothing other than “life changing”. It is as close as you’ll get to Woodstock in the heart of Tennessee.

The 2010 lineup for the festival is officially up on Bonnaroo’s official site (www.bonnaroo.com) after months of speculation and it is sure to impress! With performances by everyone from Stevie Wonder to The Dead Weather, Kings of Leon to B.O.B, Needtobreathe to Miranda Lambert, Dr. Dog to She & Him – this is one festival you do not want to miss. Follow this guide and you will have the time of your life at the 2010 Bonnaroo festival.

1. Pre-‘Roo:

The ticket, your golden ticket to Bonnaroo! There are lots of different levels of tickets to Bonnaroo, from general admission to total access, depending on your price range.

General Admission: Since it is now so close to Bonnaroo, the only general admission ticket price available is $249.50 plus fees.

VIP: These tickets are $1,349.50 for a pair plus fees.

Total Access: This is a luxurious trip to Bonnaroo complete with amenities like: private tour buses, comfortable sleeping quarters, and private bathrooms. Fill out a form on the Bonnaroo website to get prices on these special tickets.

2. Camping RV, or hotel?

Hotels: Some people choose to leave Bonnaroo each day and go to a hotel room only to return the next day. This is one way to enjoy yourself especially if you want a shower every day! It is hot and humid here in Tennessee in June so be prepared if you do not have a shower to access. There are plenty of hotels in Manchester and surrounding cities, if you do desire a room.

Camping: Most Bonnaroo regulars prefer to pitch a tent and rough it for a few days at the festival. Camping areas are divided and one is strictly for families, so choose accordingly.

RV: If you decide to bring a rented RV, or your own RV, you must purchase an RV pass. You can also rent an RV from Bonnaroo at a cost of $3,192 plus a $1,000 deposit.

Only you can decide which way you will be the most comfortable at Bonnaroo but if you want to enjoy the true ‘roo, save yourself some money and go pitch a tent!

3. YOUR music lineup!

Use the Zoltaroo on Bonnaroo’s site to create your own personalized lineup. This way you are sure to see all the acts you want to see, as well as maybe even get a few new favorites while in Manchester! Bring this with you to Bonnaroo and set alarms on your cell phone or watch to keep you on schedule.

4. Packing!

Be sure and read the Getting Started guide on Bonnaroo’s page for a complete list of things to pack, things not to pack, and what Bonnaroo will provide you with (including water). Read this to be fully prepared for your trip.
