A Guide to Gehenna on Castle Age

The Castle Age monster Gehenna, the fire elemental, is a tough world-type monster. This means that you will need friends to send you the required ingredients in order to summon Gehenna or join in the fight when someone else has summoned him. If you are not least over level one hundred, I would not suggest that you summon this beast. Feel free to ride on higher level players’ coattails and reap the rewards if this is the case.

Using the Siege Weapons

It is very important to use the siege weapons in the battle against Gehenna on Castle Age as the damage done by even the first siege weapon is more than you can most likely do yourself through the whole fight. You will need several hundred people to help with the summons and if you can get most of the players attacking to help with summons requests this should be no problem.

The Importance of Picking the Correct Class

Since every player has a different style of play, picking the correct class for you is important. If you are a casual player that cannot sit on Facebook every waking hour of the day then I would suggest the Warrior or Cleric. While these classes do get bonuses at certain times, their skills can be used at any time. The Rogue and the Mage have to use their skills at the right time in order to work. Any other time and the option is not available, you can still attack but cannot use your special ability. Be sure if you are the summoner to get a balance of classes in the group. The Warlock and Ranger have a balance already and can be used at any time and can supplement Mages and Rogues respectively.

Preventing Party Damage and Monster Healing

As with most monsters in Castle Age, Gehenna can heal himself and do extra damage to the party at certain times. Mages and warlocks can prevent the fire elemental from damaging the party by casting a spell using their energy. The better your defense start, the more effective this will be to max of the deflection bar. If the deflection bar is not full when the timer runs out Gehenna will do massive damage to the party. Gehenna can also heal himself. This can be prevented by the Rogues and Rangers using energy to backstab and prevent the healing. There is a bar to fill up for this as well and it has to be completely full to stop the healing.

Rage

The rage ability is where the person who can play all day really has an advantage. Every time you attack Gehenna on Castle Age you build up rage. Eventually this adds one percent to the damage done. As you continue to attack, this percentage can increase allowing you to do more damage. If you do not attack the rage meter gradually decreases lowering the extra damage done. If you play all day and attack as you gain stamina, you should be able to keep the rage bar increasing until it is maxed out.

Rewards

All of the rewards listed are worth the fight. Although I have also gotten some junk in the rewards, the key here is the more damage done by you to Gehenna, the better your odds of good rewards. Not listed in the rewards are land and favor points as well as Demi points. All of which I have gotten as rewards from this fight.
