A Beautiful Sea Beach at Gopalpur, Orissa State in India

Recently, I had an opportunity to visit a sea beach at Gopalpur, which is in Orissa State of India. The sea beach at Gopalpur is not visited by many tourists, because is it is not access able easily. It is some 15-20 kilometers from a Rail Head called Bharmpur in Orissa State of India.

Few days ago, when I was on a visit to Orissa state of India, I along with one of my friends decided to visit this beach and enjoy its beauty. We reached Bharmpur at around 1100 hrs in the forenoon by train, which we boarded from a place called Bhubenshwer. From Bharmpur railway station, we took a taxi, which helped us reached at Gopalpur sea beach. We reached there by 1145 hrs. The sun was shining brightly and the weather was very pleasant and fine. The weather over there was neither hot nor cold. There were not many tourists on the beach, means it was not over crowded. Some of them were walking acroos the beach and some of them were taking photographs. Many of the tourists were there with their families.

On reaching there, after having a first look at the vast blue sea, we stood spell bound. It was a pretty long beach with red sand and waves of water were kissing the beach time and again with their full glory. The water was looking transparent, clean and blue. Wherever our sight could see, it was all blue and blue. Human eye sight cannot see beyong a seven kilomerter range, because the earth is tilted. So we were able to see that long. The scene was really mesmerizing. The water was as blue as the sky over us. We felt as the blue sky has descended down below on the sea. The sea was looking like blue carpet all along. The dance of waves was very splendid and continous flow of waves was ceating a kind of music. We felt that waves were just coming to the sea shore like an angry and hissing snake and after touching the shore, they were calming down. It was an endless process of waves coming and going back. It was an awesome scene.

In the late afternoon, the sun started shining more brighltly and waves at the time were looking like golden threads. Later on it turned into crimson red, when the sun was about to set in the evening. The different characters of the sea were visible throughout the day and we were enjoying the beauty of the nature. Meanwhile, as the day was coming to end, speed of waves was also increasing and waves were coming to the sea beach, with greater intensity.

We kept sitting there for many hours together, meanwhile we munched some snacks. We had our lunch in a near by eating joint, which was on the sea side. We enjoyed eating our lunch, overlooking the beauty of the sea. Thereafter, we decided to walk across the beach. It was a long but pleasant walk and we observed that many boats were there on the sea to catch the fish. Many boats were just standard on the sea beach, boats were of different shape and colours and they were very strong, so that they could withstand the fury of sea water. We noticed that, many fishermen were coming back from the sea after their catch and some of them were going to catch the fish.

We felt like sitting there endlessly and we felt that the day should not end. But everygood things comes to end, so was our day. In the evening, the sun starting setting and we decided to return. During the day, we took some beautiful photographs with our digital camera and captured few scenes with our video camera for our memory.
