Olympus 7.1MP Digital Camera Review: Reasonably Priced

Olympus Digital Camera

So you’ve found yourself in a predicament. You need a new digital camera, but you don’t want to spend more than $300.00, what should you do? Well, there are several different methods that you could choose. The first, you can forget about getting a digital camera, and take-up drawing, and try to draw all of your memories, or you can settle for a cheap camera that will probably break in about a year.

However, these aren’t your only choices. I have found an absolutely stunning digital camera that falls in this price range, and best of all, it is made by a trusted company, which specializes in producing fine digital cameras. I am talking about the Olympus 7.1-MegaPixel Digital Camera, Model: FE-240. This camera is one of the nicest and most complete digital cameras in this price range that I have ever found.

The most noticeable feature this camera offers its users is the great 7.1-MegaPixel CCD captures high-resolution images with a total pixel quality of 3072 x 2304. This camera also has zooming capabilities. They are 5x optical, 4x digital and a total zoom of 20x’s. One of the features this camera has that really sold me on it, was the overall start-up time.

This is one issue I have with most digital cameras, some of them take several seconds to start up, and sometimes this means that you miss that perfect shot. However, you won’t ever have to worry about that again, because this camera has a start-up time of less than 1 second. This means that in less than a second you take your picture, how cool is that?

Another great feature is the TruePic TURBO Image Processor, which has several different functions, all of which keep your photographs looking more stunning than ever. This digital camera gives you a total of 16 different shooting modes, which gives you the ultimate in shooting options.

Some of the various shooting modes include candle, documents, self-portrait, sunset, indoor, behind glass, landscape and night – just to name a few of them. There is also a great digital image stabilization mode that will allow you to have crystal clear images, even if your stability is slightly off.

However, one of the coolest features, that I personally love, is the Panorama mode, that captures up to 10 different frames automatically. When using this with the Olympus Master software, you will be able to have a unique, one-of-a-kind photograph that will have all of your friends asking how you did it. Ever dreamed of being a master photographer? Well, with this camera, you are quickly on your way – well, at least you’ll be able to fake it sufficiently.

This digital camera comes with a total of 20MB of internal memory; however, it also comes with an xD-Picture Card memory slot. And when you upgrade your memory, you will be able to take full-advantage of the video mode. This mode allows you to capture movies in AVI motion JPEG, ranging in a wide array of fps (frames per second).

Buying a new digital camera doesn’t have to stressful, on you or your bank account. Now, you won’t have to suffer in image quality just because you can’t afford to pay a high price tag. Speaking of price-tag’s, this camera can be yours for an average of $250.00, much lower than other comparable digital cameras. So, be smart, keep your memories in style, but don’t spend an outlandish price for it.
