Herbal Remedies to Ease Away Toothaches

Natural Remedies for Tooth Pain, Toothaches

I have had toothaches and I am sure some of you have as well. I know when I have a toothache I like to use herbal remedies to help ease my toothache pains instead of using over the counter pain killers. Some of my favorite toothache herbal remedies to use are tea tree oil, vanilla extracts, peppermint, and neem oil. Now your probably all wondering how do this herbal remedies help ease a toothache? Well I am about to tell you.

Tea tree oil helps ease a toothache because it contains anti-inflammatory and antiseptic properties in it that stop your gums and nerves from swelling, and penetrates deep down inside the tooth itself killing off the bacteria inside the root of the tooth that is causing your tooth to hurt. The best way I think to use tea tree oil to help ease your toothache pains is by first brushing your teeth with toothpaste, and than rinsing your mouth out with mouthwash. After you can simply dilute a few drops of tea tree oil into a glass of warm water and than swoosh the water and tea tree mixture in your mouth as a mouth rinse. The other way is simply by taking a cotton swab and pour some of the tea tree oil on it and than rubbing the cotton swab with the tea tree oil on the tooth that hurts inside your mouth.

The next herbal remedy I like to use to help ease a toothache is pure vanilla extract. Vanilla extract contains chemicals in it that helps numb your toothache. The best way I find to use pure vanilla extract to help ease my toothaches is by simply pouring 3 tablespoons into a small cup and than by simply pouring it into my mouth and swishing it around in my mouth like a mouthwash for 30 seconds. After I simply like to spit the vanilla extract out. However, the vanilla extract can be a little strong in flavor so you can dilute it in a little bit of water if you have too. I know I have too.

The other herbal remedy that I find works the best for toothaches is peppermint oil. Peppermint oil has a natural soothing and cooling sensation that helps soothe away aches and pains. The best way I find to use peppermint oil to help ease toothaches is by simply taking a cotton swab and soaking it in peppermint oil for a minute or two, and than after by simply rubbing the peppermint oil onto the toothache and gums surrounding the toothache with your cotton swab. As soon as you apply the peppermint oil to your toothache it will feel at ease from the pain. Another way I like to use the peppermint oil to help ease my toothache pains is by simply pouring a teaspoon of peppermint oil into ¼ a cup of water and than swooshing the peppermint water solution in my mouth like a mouthwash to help ease my toothache pains. You can choose whatever one works best for you.

The next and last herbal remedy that is wonderful for toothaches if you do not have any of the other natural remedies on hand is neem oil. Neem oil contains natural compounds in it that help reduce inflammation in your teeth and gums, which helps reduce the amount off pain you are feeling in the tooth that is aching. The way I like to use neem oil to help ease my toothache is by soaking a cotton ball in neem oil and than applying the wet neem oiled cover cotton ball to my toothache by simply sticking the neem oiled cover cotton ball into my mouth. Once the neem oil is on the toothache you should feel a tingly soothing sensation that helps relieve your toothache pains. They also make neem toothpaste and mouthwash you can get and try to help ease your toothache pains as well, but I personally think straight up neem oil works the best for toothaches.
