The Apple App store has over 1,000,000 apps and developers are submitting more every single day! Sometimes it may be hard to find the best games for your money with so many to choose from, so after three years of being and iPhone, iPod Touch, and iPad owner, I’ve found the best few that will sure to leave you entertained for months!
SimCity Deluxe
This app is currently $6.99 in the App Store. If you’re a fan of the PC game, then you’ll love having this wherever you go! It’s a lot like the PC game. You can build your own city by adding your own stores, shops, houses, terrain, etc. Watch your city grow as more Sims come to live there! The game does add a lot of twists, by throwing in natural disasters and even the occasional alien invasion (the developers got real creative there!). It’s a fun game if you like creating your own virtual world.
Real Racing
This car simulation game is currently $4.99 in the App Store. After trying out a bunch of different car games for iPhone, this one was definitely my favorite! You can try it out for free if you aren’t so sure about paying the $4.99. There are many cars and courses to choose from and unlock. Players can either do a quick race or venture through the career mode. Real Racing is a ton of fun even if you don’t like car games. It’s also a great use of the accelerometer.
Labyrinth
You can download and play ten different Labyrinth levels for free, and if you really love it you can upgrade for $2.99 and unlock over 1000 levels! Another great use of the accelerometer, this game will have you tilting and turning your iPhone trying to guide our steel ball through a wooden labyrinth, avoiding all sorts of obstacles. This game will keep you entertained for ages!
If you are one of the millions of Guitar Hero fans, you’ll love Tap Tap Revenge 3! You can download it for free with a few free songs included in the game. If you’re not satisfied, players can also search through the in-app store for song packs that range around $2 for three to five songs by your favorite artists. You’ll be hooked to Tap Tap Revenge 3 in no time as you advance from Easy, Medium, Hard, to Expert.
Super Monkey Ball
You may remember this app from one of the past iPod Touch commercials. The original Super Monkey ball is only $2.99, and Super Monkey 2 is $5.99. In this game you guide a super cute virtual monkey encased in a ball to the finish line by rolling and tilting him through many slopes in turns throughout the game. Designed by SEGA, customers can race through five worlds and 110 stages. It’s super addicting, and the 3D graphics are superb.
