2012 NFL Week 4 Predictions and Picks

It’s time to make my 2012 NFL week 4 predictions and picks. As usual, the NFL week 4 schedule starts with a Thursday night matchup. Cleveland has the tough obstacle of playing at Baltimore in that contest.

Can the Browns play the upset card? Absolutely not. The odds for this one will be heavily in favor of the Ravens as well they should be. Baltimore wins big thanks to 3 Ray Rice touchdown runs. The Ravens dominate early and often with a 33-14 victory.

On to Sunday, where Carolina travels to Atlanta hoping to rebound from a dismal loss to the New York Giants. Can the Panthers pick up a road win? I think it’s definitely possible if this offense ever gets truly on track. But we just haven’t seen that this season. I don’t think we’ll see it here against a solid defense in Atlanta that picked off Peyton Manning 3 times in a first half this season. Falcons win 30-17 thanks to 2 touchdown passes from Matt Ryan to Roddy White.

New England looks for what could be a big road win at Buffalo. The Patriots will emerge with a huge victory as they start to get things rolling offensively finally. Tom Brady fires four touchdown passes in a 38-20 win.

San Diego travels to Kansas City in whay looks to be a win on paper for the Chargers. I’m going to go with an upset here as the Chiefs win on a late field goal 23-20.

Seattle is at St. Louis to visit the Rams. Both of these teams have seen improvement this year and it could potentially be a big series as far as Wildcards are concerned in the NFC. My picks and predictions for this week 4 matchup? I’l take the Rams in a 24-16 victory.

The New York Jets host San Francisco in what could be the big game of the week. The 49’ers defense is always impressive but can they win in a hostile New York atmosphere? My gut feeling is the Jets win at home in an ugly one 19-16.

Tennessee goes to Houston to face the Texans. It seems like this one has blowout potential all over it. But I think the Titans will lose by a respectable score. Texans win 27-20 thanks to 147 yards and 2 touchdowns from Arian Foster.

Minnesota heads to Detroit to battle the Lions. Matthew Stafford looks sharp at home with 4 touchdown passes in a 31-17 victory.

My 2012 NFL week 4 predictions and picks continue with Miami in Arizona. The Dolphins could potentially pull off the upset but I just think the Cardinals will find a way to win in the end. Arizona 23-22 over the Dolphins.

Oakland visits Denver for a matchup against Peyton Manning. The Raiders have been playing some ugly football of late and it won’t stop here. The Broncos win big time 33-10. Carson Palmer is picked off 4 times and Manning tosses 3 touchdown passes.

Cincinnati hits the road for a date in Jacksonville. The Jags gets 2 touchdowns and 123 yards from Maurice Jones-Drew in a 27-23 win at home.

Washington travels to Tampa Bay to face the Bucs. This is one of the more interesting matchups of the week because it’s hard to predict which team will show up for either squad. In the end, I’ll take the Redskins to emerge with an overtime 27-21 victory.

Green Bay hosts New Orleans in what would have been a huge game last season or the year before. This year it seems as if neither team is nearly as dominant as the other teams close in. Still, I think the Packers a notch ahead of the Saints and will win going away 33-20.

The New York Giants head to Philadelphia for the Sunday night game. The Giants have looked sharp for the last 6 quarters in two wins. Philadelphia is always a tough out at home. This division rivalry gets ugly with both teams getting a bit ticket-what else is new, right? Eagles win 26-24.

The Monday night game has the Chicago Bears on the road at Dallas. The Cowboys should win at home against a struggling road team in da Bears. Tony Romo throws 3 touchdown passes in a 24-17 win.

That’s it for my 2012 NFL week 4 predictions and picks. We’ll be back next week to analyze the week 5 NFL schedule with more picks. Until then, have a wonderful week and enjoy the football games everyone.
