2011 Tax Day Freebies

We hate taxes and all businesses know that. So to try and cheer us up on an otherwise dreadful day, many businesses give away freebies. It’s nice to be appreciated by local businesses and you may even find a new product you love! To avoid disappointment I strongly suggest that you call your local business to make sure they are participating in the event.

Another note for 2011 – Tax day is considered as April 18th this year due to the weekend. So when checking into these offers, remember that some may be available as early as the 15th, but others not until April 18th.

HBO and Cinemax are doing a free preview Tax Day weekend which will be from April 15 until April 18th this year. Just call your local cable company or satellite provider to see if they are participating. If the weather is yucky, this would make for a great family movie weekend!

MaggieMoo is handing out free ice cream sundaes from 3pm – 6pm on April 18th. The sundae is the MaggieMoo’s Crumb Cake Fundae which features Hostess Cinnamon Crumb Cake, caramel, sauce, mixed nuts and whipped cream on cinnamon ice cream. Yum Yum! Go to www.maggiemoos.com to find your local treatery.

Cinnabon bakeries is also participating in a Tax Day freebie. Cinnabon will be handing out their “Tax Day Bites” which consists of two Cinnabon Bites to each customer to stops by. This will be on April 18th from 6pm to 8pm only. Make sure you call ahead to ensure your location is participating. www.cinnabon.com

There are many companies who are not participating this year. But I guess we are all stretched thin this year. I also encourage you to ask around your local establishments to see if they are having any tax day freebies. It never hurts to ask.
