Jamaica Themed Party Favors for Adults

Are you in the process of planning a Jamaica themed party for your family and friends? Do you already know what items you want to use as party favors? If not, you may want to take a cursory look at a few of my Jamaica themed party favor ideas. Here they are:

Coconut Gizzadas

If you want to give your guests an authentic Jamaican treat, you may want to consider whipping up a batch of coconut gizzadas. Coconut gizzadas are actually coconut tarts. The tarts are traditionally made with grated coconut, grated nutmeg and brown sugar. You can find a complete tart recipe available online. Once you have all of your coconut tarts made, I’d suggest placing each one inside an individual cupcake box. I’d also recommend that you go with a cupcake box that has been outfitted with a window and island themed embellishments. That way, your guests will be able to see what’s inside the boxes without having to break them open. Island themed embellishments to consider using are replicas of Jamaica’s flag, diminutive seashells, sand dollars and palm leaves.

Candied Fruits

Would you rather steer clear of coconut treats? If so, you may want to think about giving your guests candied fruits instead. Candied fruits are often sold through specialty stores, candy wholesalers and grocery stores. Examples of candied fruits that would be ideal for a Jamaican themed party include pineapples, mangoes, naseberries and papayas. I’d suggest wrapping the candied fruits up inside banana leaves. You can typically buy packages of banana leaves through specialty shops and select grocery stores for a modest fee. You’ll also want to invest in a package of raffia so you can tie the banana leaves into place. Packages of raffia are traditionally available for purchase through most major craft stores.

Homemade Jerk Seasoning

In my opinion, bottles of homemade jerk seasoning would also make great party favors. If you have never made homemade jerk seasoning before, there are various recipes available online that may prove informative. I’d also suggest placing your homemade blend inside individual size spice bottles that have been outfitted with a customized label. You can typically buy empty spice bottles through packaging stores for a modest fee. One company that sells empty spice bottles and tins is SKS Bottle and Packaging, Inc. As far as the labels go, you can make your own with the aid of your home computer and a printer. Graphics to consider using on your labels include the outline of Jamaica and a replica of the country’s flag.

Silver Tropics Cell Phone Charms

Last but not least, Silver Tropics Cell Phone Charms would make good party favors too. The 1.25 inch tall charms that I am familiar with feature a silver palm tree and a metal disc. Oftentimes, the metal discs can be customized for an additional fee. On average, each palm tree charm will cost you $1 through party suppliers like Shindigz.
