* Basil juice and honey mixture for kidney stones

One of the most effective home remedies for kidney stones is the juice of the holy basil leaves. Take one teaspoon of basil juice and one teaspoon of honey every morning for about 6 months. Basil juice not only helps in the expulsion of the kidney stone but also helps in strengthening the kidneys.

* Radish juice for kidney stones

One of the most effective home remedies for kidney stones is radish juice. Radish juice may smell strange, but it is a very effective diuretic. It helps clean the bladder and the kidneys. It should be extracted from the leaves of the radish. You can also add carrot and cucumber juice to the juice of a radish. A cup of this juice should be taken on an empty stomach early in the morning for at least 21 days.

* Eat fruits for kidney stones

Home remedies for kidney stones cannot be complete without including fruits in your diet. Grapes are high on water and potassium salt and low on albumin and sodium chloride. This makes it a perfect fruit for people with kidney stones and also for those who are prone to recurrent formation of these stones. Watermelons are also very rich in potassium salts and have high water content. It can be eaten fresh or its juice can be taken.

* Take herbal tea for kidney stones

Some herbs are also effective home remedies for kidney stones. They can help in easing the pain, preventing infections and getting rid of the kidney stones. Herbs such as cramp bark, goldenrod and joe-pye weed help in easing the pain and getting rid of the stones. Agrimony, horsetail, yarrow and nettles are very effective in reducing the bleeding which may occur due to kidney stones. These herbs should be combined and boiled in water for about 10-15 minutes. The resulting herbal tea should be sipped slowly.

These home remedies for kidney stones can definitely help in easing the pain and other uncomfortable symptoms involved. With their positive and diuretic effect on the kidneys they also help push a small kidney stone out of your body through the urine. Whatever the kind of stone, it is very important that you collect the stone when it is passed out through the urine for further lab tests. And remember you want to keep your kidneys flushed, so drink lots of water throughout the day.
