Free Crocheted Curtain Tieback Patterns

The free crocheted curtain tieback patterns are fairly easy and simple to make. Anyone who never has crocheted can use the free crocheted curtain tieback patterns. The free crocheted curtain tieback patterns would be a great way to learn how to start crocheting.

These would be something quick and simple to make for gifts for families and friends. Making a set of each of the tassels for gifts can help your families and friends with having tie backs for their curtains. If you give the gals gifts for birthdays and Christmas, you could make sets for both times of the years. This way they would have tiebacks for every window in their home.

I have made a few tiebacks over the years from crocheting them and through other methods. Some people have asked me to make them a few sets for rooms in their homes. They wanted something different from what they could find in stores. Some of these people wanted me to make them in specific colors because they couldn’t find what they wanted in stores.

Even though the free crocheted curtain tieback patterns are for holding your curtains open, you could use them for other types of decorating in your home. You could make some of the tassel tiebacks without the tie sections and attach them to pillows and valances. They can be used for the corners of bedcovers. If you make the tassels small enough you could trim a valance with them.

While I was sitting here thinking about what else you could use the tiebacks for, I had a thought you could use them for hair tiebacks as well. You can attach a button to one end rather than a loop to connect the two ends together for holding the hair back.

Another idea I just had was, you could make some of these for a bathroom decor. Roll some of your wash cloths, hand towels, and bath towels and wrap a curtain tieback around them to secure them. Then you will place them in a basket as a way to update your bathroom. You could do this with your kitchen towels and dish cloths. Not only that you can use them on your cloth napkins to spruce up your holiday table setting.

Another thought is you could use them as a way to present flowers as a bouquet to someone. Rather than tying them with string or something, you can use a tieback for them to keep them in a bunch. The person receiving the bouquet of flowers can use the curtain tieback for something else in their home.

Now that I have given you a few other ideas for using the free crocheted curtain tiebacks, I will let you get on to the patterns. They are below.

How to Cozy Up Your Curtains with a Crocheted Curtain Tieback

This is a basic crochet pattern. This is an easy tie back to make. It reminds me of something one of my grandmothers would have made for their kitchens. This one can be made with extra yarn and other craft items you have around the home.

Fringed Curtain Tiebacks

The fringed curtain tiebacks remind me of a Victorian piece for curtains. It would be something any of us who ever watched the Walton’s television show would have seen in the two sisters home.

A Tassel A Day: Patterns from the 1900s
