Colon Cleanse; Watermelon Cleanse Diet

Colon cleanse diets are for more than just loosing weight. If you wish to do a colon cleanse diet such as the watermelon cleanse diet you need to realize that such diets are only meant to cleanse your body and jump start weight loss. You cannot stay on a colon cleanse diet such as the watermelon cleanse longer than about three days. You will lose weight on the watermelon diet because you will not be consuming very many calories.

Colon Cleanse Diet Information

Everyday life affects your colon. Stress, lack of sleep, and an unhealthy diet wear down on your colon. Colon toxicity is why many people wish to undergo colon cleanse diet treatments. If you wish to do a colon cleanse, it’s better to use a natural diet such as the watermelon cleanse.

Colon Cleanse Diet Tips

If you are going to perform a colon cleanse, do yourself a favor and take a couple of days off work or start over the weekend. Nothing is worse than cleaning out your colon while trying to be productive at work. In addition, try to rest. You won’t be consuming very many calories so you don’t need to be too awfully active.

Why Watermelon?

You may be wondering why the watermelon cleanse is a good colon cleanse. The watermelon helps the entire body – including your kidneys, liver, colon, and stomach. When you undergo the watermelon cleanse you will clean out your system.

Watermelon Cleanse Recipes

Here are three watermelon recipes for breakfast, lunch, and dinner under the watermelon cleanse diet. These were obtained from Live Food Doctor blog post written by Dr. Ariel from Tuscon, AZ

Breakfast:

6 ounces of watermelon juiced
½ lemon, juiced with the watermelon

Optional: add grated ginger, mix in blender. You can also juice the ginger and mix with watermelon juice.
To juice the watermelon. Place watermelon in blender. Blend well. Use a cheese cloth or nut milk bag to strain the watermelon. Mix lemon juice and watermelon together.

Optional: Use a GreenStar Juicer or Samson Juicer to juice the rind. Drink the juice of the rind.

Lunch: Watermelon smoothie.

To prepare watermelon smoothie: Place 2 cups of watermelon in blender or Vitamix. Blend for 30 seconds or until watermelon is well mixed. Drink!

Optional: Add 2 tbsp. of chopped cilantro and blend along with the watermelon.

Dinner: Watermelon Soup

4 cups watermelon, seeded and cubed
Juice of 1 lime
2 tbsp. fresh mint, chopped.
1 tbsp. fresh ginger, chopped or minced
1/8 tsp ground cardamom

Place 3 cups watermelon in food processor and blend until smoothie. Dice up the remaining 2 cups of watermelon into very small pieces and add to the puree. In a separate bowl, combine the lime juice, mint, ginger, and cardamom. Add this to the other mixture and stir well.

When to Use the Watermelon Cleanse

As stated before, only use the watermelon cleanse for a couple of days and only for the purpose of cleaning out your system. You will lose weight rapidly but you will not be consuming enough calories to call the watermelon cleanse a healthy diet.
