A Review of Heluva Good Sour Cream French Onion Dip

I love many brands and types of sour cream french onion dip. Recently, I spotted a container of Heluva Good Sour Cream French Onion Dip in the refrigerated dip section of my local grocery store. The cute name intrigued me. I decided to purchase this dip, try it and write an unbiased product review all about my personal experience. Here is what I discovered!

Heluva Good Sour Cream French Onion Dip costs around two dollars for a twelve ounce size container. That is not a lot of dip and it is not a bargain price, in my opinion. Still, I was curious about this dip and the boastful name Heluva good dip did get my attention. I laughed and I bought. This brand is cheaper than many other name brands of dip. It is not the cheapest, though. I love french onion dip and it has to made with sour cream to make it special. I could not wait to taste this dip.

Heluva Good Sour Cream French Onion Dip smelled great and it is very thick, I discovered. I tried this dip out with a bag of one of my favorite potato chip brands, Munchos. When I tasted this dip, I liked it. It is very thick and clings to a chip very well. It has great sour cream flavor. It has a french onion taste but, very subtle. I did not come across any chunks of onions and I was a bit disappointed. My favorite brand of dip, Publix french onion dip, has much more onion flavor. Still, this dip is thicker. I will give it that point. It does, however, cost more than my favorite brand of french onion dip and it gives me less. I did not like that.

I rate Heluva Good Sour Cream French Onion Dip three and one half stars out of five stars. I would like to see more dip for my money. I would also like to see more onion flavor and onion bits in this dip. Lots more. I probably will not buy this dip again. I am spoiled by my favorite dip and I love it best. One serving of Heluva Good Sour Cream French Onion Dip has 60 calories in it. 45 of those calories are from fat. It has 5 grams of total fat, 3 grams of saturated fat, 20 mg’s of cholesterol, 170 mg’s of sodium, 2 grams of total carbs, 0 grams of dietary fiber, 1 gram of sugars and 1 gram of protein. This dip does contain milk.

I enjoyed trying this dip and writing a product review about it. It does have tiny bits of onion in it but, they are almost unnoticeable. The flavor and texture are both good. I like getting more dip for my money, though. For more information, you can visit the heluvagood.com website for recipes and a look at their new food products. This dip is a winner! It is just not my favorite.
