Oishii is one of the smaller, more intimate of the Japanese restaurants in Boston. The prices are on the high side and the style is dressy casual. Expect to wait for a table. The Salmon Teriyaki is great at $20.00. Some of the other choices are Chicken Katsu for $16.00 and if you want a real special experience choose one of the items that they grill right at your table. You can choose from Top Choice Tenderloin. Salmon, Tuna, Prawn or Kobe Beef all priced between $20 and $25.

Wagamama is one of the most economical of the Japanese restaurants in Boston. It is a very casual place, just what you would expect to find in a place like Faneuil Hall. It is usually crowded, but the wait is not usually long. No reservations here. As for the food, they have a special children’s menu with everything under $5.00 and from the regular menu, most of the dishes are noodle dishes, but they do have some entrees. You can choose items such as Chicken Katsu Curry for $11.00 or Yasai Cha Han for $7.95.
