Top 5 Policeman Themed Party Favors for Children’s Birthday Parties

Are you planning a policeman themed birthday party for your child? If so, you may want to check out a few of my law enforcement themed party favor ideas. Here they are:

Police Inspired Candy

Looking for a sweet, law enforcement themed party favor? A lollipop or chocolate bar in the shape of a policeman’s badge ought to do the trick. In order to make badges for your aspiring officers, you’ll need a police badge candy mold ($2), a bag of chocolate rounds or hard candy mix ($5) and a bag of lollipop sticks ($2). All of those items can typically be purchased through a confectioner’s or restaurant supply shop. You’ll also want to pick up a few law enforcement inspired candy bags or boxes ($10).

Policeman’s Uniform

Depending on your budget, you may want to give each child a policeman’s uniform. Child size police hats ($6), vests ($5), mirror sunglasses ($5), police whistles ($2) and toy handcuffs ($3) are all available through costume and party supply shops. Some shops also carry toy police clubs ($2). You may also want to throw in a carbonless receipt book ($4) and a pen so the kids can pretend to write each other a ticket.

Die Cast Police Vehicles

Die cast police vehicles would also make excellent law enforcement themed party favors. Based on my experience, the die cast police vehicles tend to sell online for less than $2 each. I’d recommend that you shop around and look for a party supply store that sells die cast police vehicles in bulk. Buying the police vehicles in bulk is often the least expensive way to obtain them.

Crime Scene Investigation Kit

A crime scene investigation kit would undoubtedly appeal to your pint size detectives. In order to create a crime scene investigation kit, you’ll need sidewalk chalk ($6), crime scene tape ($11), a makeup brush ($20), food grade luster dust ($3) and some card stock ($5). You might also want to include a disposable camera ($3), a roll of scotch tape ($1), a miniature spiral notebook ($1) and a pen. You could even throw in a few re-sealable “evidence” bags too. Of course you’ll also need a gift bag to put it all in.

For those that are not familiar with food grade luster dust, it is an edible powder that is used to decorate cakes. It also happens to resemble fingerprint powder. As such, the kids can pretend to lift fingerprints from their mock crime scenes with the luster dust, a makeup brush and scotch tape. The card stock, chalk and crime scene tape are for securing the scene and marking off the evidence. The camera, pen and notebook are for recording the evidence and jotting down clues.

Fingerprint Kit

Are you interested in teaching the kids about personal safety as well as providing them with a policeman themed party favor? If so, you may want to consider purchasing a case of McGruff Safe Kids Identification Kits. They tend to sell online for less than $1 apiece. The kits teach kids about safety and dealing with bullies. Parents will also appreciate the kit because it contains information on how to create an identification card for their child.
