All of them are beautiful and there are a number of ways to celebrate at each one.

The State Botanical Gardens of Georgia boasts several locations at which to hold your big day. You can be married at the on-site Day Chapel, full of beautifully carved wood and hand made carpeting. It seats 130 people and has the room necessary for the bridal party to change into their clothes for the ceremony. It also has a space for an intimate reception and a kitchen that caterers can use to provide the food for it. Additionally, a wedding and/or reception can be held in the Conservatory, a large space that is full of tropical plants and sunlight. It can seat 200 guests or have 300 if you would prefer to have your guests stand. There is also the Terrace Room, which seats 140 people and has a kitchen for catering and bathrooms for guests and/or the bridal party. It is usually used for banquets and the like. Georgia Museum of Art is a lovely location to hold your wedding at, but not this Summer. The Museum is open and airy, not to mention the exquisite works of art that are always in rotation. This stately venue is on the campus of the University of Georgia. Currently, the Museum is going to be closed through early 2011 due to the groundbreaking for Phase II.

The Classic Center has a variety of options to host your wedding and reception. There are so many advantages if you host your wedding here. The University Chapel at the University of Georgia has hosted hundreds of weddings. And it’s no wonder; it is on North Campus and this stately, beautiful, white building opens up onto a lawn with several old oak trees with lush green grass rolling underneath. The Founder’s Gardens aren’t far away for a reception, or have one in front of the Chapel on the lawn. There is a unique painting inside, “Interior of St. Peter’s Rome” that would make a beautiful backdrop for all the pictures of your vows. To book here, call 706-542-2290.

The Founder’s Garden is a beautiful, intimate setting off of Lumpkin St. on the campus of the University of Georgia. There is plenty of parking across the street for all of your guests. The Gardens here are formal, but there is a screen of woods all around the property. Photos taken at this venue are sure to turn out perfectly. There are benches situated throughout and lush grass on which to host your wedding. For the Summer 2009 wedding, don’t worry about the sun! The Garden has a tent that’s available. It can hold up to 150 people, perfect for the small wedding and reception. This way, you won’t have to drive across town to another venue from which you had your ceremony! The Founder’s House, also on the site, can also hold the wedding ceremony. To book The Founder’s Garden, call 706-542-4776.

Wherever you choose to host your Summer wedding, have a good time and don’t stress!
